Who would have believed it?
Well JT aint playing is he? And Becks is coming to a sort of end, so probably quite fitting.
Has he named the team yet? I wanna see him be really brave and play some kids or people we aint heard of.
If he was really brave he would delve beyond even the championship…. give one of them fella’s an england shirt and an opportunity and they would play their hearts out.
It’s Trinidad and Tobago, it means shit. We aren’t in the Euro’s, makes it even more shit. I won’t be watching a ‘B’ game. But nevertheless Becks is captain and he retired from it after the World Cup, never to do it again. But I like Becks and I just got me hair bleached (serious) but not in honour of him, but I feel like him… :lol:
He’s a bloody icon no matter what.
Great for kids to look up to. A national treasure as they say.
And I thought he and the rest gave a blinding performance in the week, best in a long time.
I think its a bit late for Defoe now, shame. But he never took the oportunites.
I’m pleased Becks has the armband, I hate the Man Utd scum but he’s a true Londoner at the end of the day… thick as fuck. Couldn’t go to a better person and he’ll treat the game like every game he ever has, be it against Watford or whoever. I think this may well be Capello’s way of saying goodbye to Becks.

i see no point in this game, yeah, capello wants to look at everyone, but to base on a game that is against a poor side, with a team that consists of only a handfull of players going to start the world cup campaign, i really don’t see any learning to be done
as for Becks, its a gesture is’nt it, being captain of a football team is not like being a captain of a cricket team, to me, it makes no difference to how the team perform, you will always have characters on a football pitch who will get the team going, be it with the armband or not

Becks is captain cos we playing Trinidad AND Tobago, now they make us play two countries at the same time
