Society is a bit hypocritical. The mainstream shuns wayward creative people with skepticism, especially when they defy the status quo. But at the same time we celebrate the successes of the artists and entrepreneurs who enrich every aspect of out lives.Society celebrates the outcome of what society shuns.

Oh I may never be famous but I am a deviant in my own small way!

When you first start to step outside of “the norm” it’s hard, your friends look at you as if you’re nuts, they can’t understand it and they want you to be “normal” and safe again…you threaten their status quo. People find it hard to pigeon-hole you so you get put in the “fruitloop” category and open to ridicule. It would be so easy at the outset to forget your wild ideas and go back to the cosy cocoon of what passes for normality, but if you are strong and true to yourself, in time you become accepted for who and what you are. Before you know it the same people are seeking you out to discuss your ideas and they want to join you in your journey…the danger is then that you become “the norm”.

And society is more than a bit hypocritical in oh so many ways!

“normal” people kinda bore me, truth be told.

and also certain sadness,, that is why so many people make it AFTER death. They struggle their way through their respective “arts”. and are frowned upon in life.BUT suddenly, and as if by Magic,Their deaths make them acceptable, as they are no longer with us to raise questions against the establishment etc.

That’s the trouble with me! I do what I want, when I want to – friends couldn’t believe I was going to move to France – what’s the big deal? I told them – I just have the guts to do something a bit different – god forbid! I don’t like being ‘normal’ whatever the feck that is anyway! Peeps either like me for what I am and others, dislike me too for not conforming, amongst other things!

    It’s great :D

” Society celebrates the outcome of what society shuns”

    ain’t that the truth !

I guess it takes individuals to change the way of the flock. Yes, the same flock who rapidly get bored with what they flocked to 2 point 5 years ago.

But this is the normal way of things so I’m as happy as a spastic in a big bowl of vegetable soup.

    :)
