Basic IQ / Maths question

The host must know what’s behind the doors as the show would be rather stupid if the host opened up a door and the car was behind it. There would be nothing left for the contestant to gamble for apart from either one of 2 sheep. So it’s all just done for effect and tension for the audience and T. V viewers. It is still just a 50/50 gamble for the contestant. He either wins a sheep or a car.The switch just confuses him and puts a psychological pressure of doubt in his mind and the feeling of winning or losing will be much greater felt after the switch because of the adrenalin. If he switches and gets the sheep then he will be devestated as the host tricked him into doubting himself . If he wins the car in the switch then he will be over the moon and think he’s beaten the ‘banker’ ‘show’ etc. Nothing has changed in reality though…it’s still just a 50/50 gamble of complete luck to which door he picks.

Well first of all, people who go to University, take higher education etc are very intelligent people who have some amazing knowledge. Thing is, a lot of  intellectual theories can slip in via discussions etc and take root as probable fact because they are intellectually stimulating, get talked about a lot and sound good to that particular  ‘community.’ Perhaps the credentials of higher learning gives them that  ‘i know more than you attitude.’ so they feel that what they come up with has credibility because of their academic standing.

The Emperors New Clothes is a brilliant analogy for arrogance and self deceit. The Emperor had been conned and was in fact naked but because of his own arrogance, vanity  and refusal to face the truth, he carried on looking stupid believing he was clothed in the finest garments.

Regardless of any particular group or organization, body or society of people. There will always be various ones who want to believe some thing and no amount of reasoning will budge them out of it even if they might carry on looking or sounding stupid.

If people could live long enough, there would probably be people from hundreds of years ago alive still and still debating whether the earth is flat even though the evidence is plain to see today that it’s not. They just don’t want to believe it.

Knowledge shouldn’t really gain arrogance, the opposite in fact as the more one knows, the more one should realize how much more there is to know and how little one does know.

These test are for disclosing one’s own intelligent level, based on, gender, age, where lived and so forth… results are based on cumulative study and research of ages and so forth. Not winning or beating some one else’s score..

Looking at some of your youth and adored music of that time seems your older than I, before my generation.

It is a shame I was impressed by you in the Muslim thread discussion and your fight for equality. Complimenting you with advocacy and so forth. As 2 woman would you not say following me around and interrupting threads am in to disrupt nice ones from you supplying disharmony in which you feel men often do? As a female to female feel some disappointment with you as rather support lacking and the things you confess about men, you seem to be right up the same alley now with the same men you hate!
So sad……
