Enjoy your free drink!
23 July, 2017 at 10:34 pm #1062098Great post mafia.
23 July, 2017 at 10:38 pm #1062102Enjoy your free drink!
It was done more for the challenge than the free drink but given I can normally do these things with ease question whether it was just a random failure on my part or early dementia is setting in lol. You have an impressive logical thought process to be able to work something out so quickly.
23 July, 2017 at 10:54 pm #1062104Following on from the last question, I have another logic question which people may or may not be interested in. I know the answer as I suspect most will but will ask it anyway..
A lady walks in the store and steals £100 from the till without the cashiers knowledge. She comes back 5 minutes later and purchases £70 worth of goods from the store with the same £100 she stole getting £30 change – so how much did the owner lose?
A) £30
B) £70
c) £100
D) £130
E) £170
F) £200
23 July, 2017 at 11:14 pm #1062107I would say 200
23 July, 2017 at 11:25 pm #1062108Or 100.00 the lady steals 100 so the owner is down 100. She then buys 70.. pounds worth, giving back 70.00 pounds but now has 70.00 worth of clothes. So in reality the owner at this point has lost 70.00 pounds in clothes as he has received 70.00 pounds back of his own money. Because he gives her 30.00 change as ell he has lost 100 pounds altogether
24 July, 2017 at 12:12 am #1062109The woman gets 70.00 pounds worth of free clothes and 30.00 in money costing the owner of the shop 100.00.
24 July, 2017 at 12:16 am #1062110An easier way to answer it would be to split the question in two parts.
1) How much has the shopkeeper lost after 100 dollars has been nicked from the till
2) How much has the shopkeeper lost after accepting 70 dollars for 70 dollars worth of goods
Clearly the answer to part 1) is $100 and the answer to part 2) is 0 making total losses $100
The second part of the question is a normal business transaction with no losses other than the original £100 stolen.

24 July, 2017 at 12:18 am #1062111A third question where you may need to dim the lights to envisage the true scene of what is depicted in the following passage…
A weary traveller reaches a windswept mountain pass over which a rickety bridge is utilised as the only viable means of progression. Standing in the middle of the pass a lone human figure stands enshrouded in a black cloak clutching a scythe.. to the left of the traveller next to the cloaked figure is a signet ring with the inscription “grand dad ” lying in in the dust , to the right a weather beaten saddle lies barely visible in the ever mounting accumulation of dirt/debris swept in by the harsh bitter wind with scattered bones lying nearby.
As the traveller approaches the sinister cloaked figure points a bony hand to the pile of scattered bones on the floor to its immediate left and a rasping male voice begins to speak..”Traveller,to pass you must answer one simple question…Brothers and sisters I have none, but that mans father, is my fathers son”
Assuming everything stated above is correct,What relation is the pile of bones to the cloaked figure
A ) Grand son
B ) Son
C ) Father
D ) Grandfather
E ) The former pet donkey
F ) No relation, the hooded figure was quite possibly a fan of necrophilia24 July, 2017 at 1:46 am #1062114Well, lets dismiss the donkey to begin with. LOL
