Let me tell you Florrie, i have met and befriended many muslims and muslimah`s. When the topic is involved with the muslimah dress code then, obviously it will concern muslims. I have researched religions enough to recognise their basic tennets.
I have used the herb for over 30 years continuously, thankfully, i have never been hospitalised through use of it to date, i have never been so physically fit than i am at present, it may well prove to be that when i age i will become unstable, however, the instability is far more likely to be caused by the absolute monotony caused by the ever controlling regulations set up by this demonic system that continues to line the pockets of the most least deserving people i could mention.
Jen, would i let a thing like that happen ? :wink:There you go – research, I am talking about living with, and working amongst Muslims.
If you have then you would know more about them – you haven’t a clue all your ideas are from reference books. Then perhaps if you were to clearly make your point and stop generalising, you may actually get the appropriate response

I will repeat again, i do not subscribe to laws that i feel do not serve public interest…. I live my life in peace and i harm no living thing, when i am employed i pay the due deductions. If i break the law, i will be imprisoned for it, if it is a law that i believe to be against public interest then, i will carry on living my life exactly as i have done this past 30 or so years.
This scientist says this, that scientist says that….. what ever i do is done with absolute conscience and awareness of those around me and the earth in general…. I have never felt so free in my whole adult life than i do now… however long or short that will be, i have not one care..
Oh and they have selective memory

13 May, 2010 at 12:05 am #440090Florrie, when you are more concerned with what underwear people wear beneath their religious clothing then really, i dont think there is much to discuss seriously with you.
13 May, 2010 at 12:11 am #440091As far as research goes and the use of the interweb for information, where on earth do you suppose information originates ????? Where does the information contained in the billions of books in this world come from ????? It comes from historical informative sources….If for one instant you discredit this information gathered in these books then basically, you are a fool…. Little wonder then the youth of this country, have all but turned their backs on authority and politics and we now live in some of the most morally declining times ever in this country
13 May, 2010 at 7:57 am #440092I was under the impression the Burka was going to be banned but seems it maybe just the veil. Like I said in my opening thread, I wasn’t sure about the banning of the actual Burka on a daily basis….seems a bit harsh, maybe because I am asian and there are many occasions me and many members of my family wear our traditional dress. I love my saris and salwar suits and would hate it if they were banned.
I still think the veil should be banned where security is a risk. Going through airports, the veil should not just be lifted to verify the mug shot but should be removed at airports and during the flights.
Someone mentioned bank robbers etc. Banks have signs asking for motorcycle helmets to be removed before entering the bank. This to the common sensed person makes sense. We ask the same in our shop. There is a sign entering the door to politely remove your helmets. If there was an incident, which there has been many in the past, my £5,000 cctv is pretty useless if the face is covered up.
If banks or we decided to put a sign up asking veils to be removed when entering the said premises, there would be uproar, racism being shouted from the rooftops.
Oh Pete, alcohol is not banned in India. A baptised Sikh is as far as I’m aware the only religion in India that does not allow the drinking of Alcohol, eating of meat etc. A very small minority in such a vast country of different religions and cultures.13 May, 2010 at 9:27 am #440093@gazlan wrote:

I disagree. If you take all the information you find in books, newspapers, the internet and so on as gospel and don’t question and discredit when appropriate, then you are a fool.
After all, what do you do when you encounter several sources on the same subject saying different and contradictary things? Do you accept them all?
And you know full well that Florrie’s post was not intended to be concerned about the clothing worn under the burkha in a fashion sense but to point out the hypocrisy of people who decry the West and all its finery when it suits them and their public face, then embrace the West when it suits them and their private lives. Don’t you?
