Up to 100,000 ballot papers have been written off in Scotlandbecause of “technical failures” and a farce in the postal voting system.
How can this happen in this democratic society?

The cynicalism inside me is on red alert here, New Labour knew they’d be getting a beating, THEY are the government who introduce the count system, did they do this on purpose?

Emma has hit the nail smack bang on the head. It is a dastardly New Labour conspiracy theorysolely designed to undermine the BNP.
The fact is that only ballot papers where the BNP was voted for were ”spoilt”. All other papers were deemed OK. This means that the BNP got 100,000 more votes in Scroteland and therefore should be the new Scottish government.
(BTW – They did it by changing the initials ”BNP” to ”Bastard Nonce Party” which put off even the most drunken skinheaded BNP supported).
Oh, was that a ballot box I pissed in last night after a few beverages? Sorry for ruining 100,000 BNP votes, Emma.

Either that, or the scots are a bit thick.
All they had to do was put a X next to the party of their choice, and on another paper all they had to do was put a 1,2,3 etc for the candidate of their local councillor choice.
It said quite clearly what was required.
So the SNP won the election by one seat? Parliament will decide the first minister, but would the first minister be different with the extra votes?
