I sincerely hope no skeletons ever arise in her family or maybe they already have and she is numb to the hurt of others but personally I believe her to be ignorant.30 April, 2008 at 8:00 pm #332244@waspish wrote:
whilst i agree wih all you have all said. and especially that he should be shot. icant help but think of the poor laundry slaves in ireland, children as young as 3 forced to work 16 hour days, and all because the local priest or the chief nun at the local school deemed them problem children. my grandfathers eldest sister was a magdaleine girl. her crime was to hold hands with a boy on the way to school. she was eventually released into the care of a mental institution. where she remained until her death in 1972. and believe it or not. while she was in this terrifying hell hole, a “man” [or priest] got her pregnant. AFTER she was locked up. the baby was still born. [we think] and she never even got to see it. there are a lot of sickos out there, old men.. young men… and even men of god… ha ha men of god.. my aaaaarse.
Many sickos hide in the church Waspish, I know exactly how you feel, it makes me angry too.

30 April, 2008 at 9:13 pm #332248Sounds like these kids that were kept in the cellar have irreversible sight and hearing problems from their incarceration and not seeing daylight or getting vitamin D etc, and im guessing that will be the least of their problems their introduction into society and the psychological damage will be immense, i wouldnt be suprised if they cant socialise properly and do end up staying in for the rest of their lives, personally i find that terribly sad and a waste.
Maybe the youngest was he 5 ?? has the best chance of a semi normal life fingers crossed.
The daughter has been re united with her mother, seems a bit fast that what if she did know about it or has she been ruled out completely of not knowing her daughter and grandchildren were beneath her all the time ?30 April, 2008 at 9:29 pm #332249@Single Fem wrote:

Everybody that has read about this certain event is of course truly shocked that such evil has taken place but that doesnt mean we all have to walk around feeling depressed and down hearted. Injecting even a small amount of humour does not mean that we feel any less for the people involved and doesnt lessen the shocking impact felt by us all.
If we all lived our lives in such a downbeat manner as you Single Fem then what a miserable exsistance we would have. Smile once in a while…… if thats possible for someone who seems so miserable as you.
