I SWEAR i shall never go to phones 4 us EVER again.. im on aone woman boycott at mo, so they better beware ;) ..had nothing but bother wth them.. the latest incident being the 18 month contract has now turned into a 24 month one overnight ! it was de to run out and i was gonnahave a super dooper phone, that i would never have understood :) But its no the point, I wanted a phone i could have facebook on.

I have no contract as such, as this was a telephone ” agreement”. I signed nothing. Ive a good mind to cancel it via the bank..

/does the Phones 4 you hand shuffle, with 2 fingers raised.

I would just cancel your payments!

I think it is for the customer to initiate a closure of the contract, i say contract because even though you signed nothing, you are deemed to have accepted the contract by aquiescence. You might try and request from them a copy of the written agreement between you and them, this might ruffle a few feathers but i think you have unwittingly accepted their terms. You might also find that the bank will honour their contract and allow the withdrawals, have a word with the bank, it might cost you either way.

Think the idea of asking for a copy of the contract is a good one.

However, you can just tell you bank over the phone to stop the SO or DD whatever it is and it won’t cost you a penny! The banks do not have a contract with anyone apart from yourself.

I suppose they may ask for the phone back, I dunno about that, but that is easy innit, just give it to them! :)

I cant give them it back as it was stolen ! and THAT may be the very crux of the matter as they sent me a new sim, and probably added he extra six months as a penalty. My bank told me that because i used switch before they all went over to another card. that my insurnce would be taken care of. im now using a pals old one. and gaz reminded me to cancel immedately as last time they sent me a new phone, 18 months ago i was billed for 2 phones for 3 months as i did not know they needed it in writing .. forgot about that little matter

    NEVER again !!!

Places like Phones 4 U and Carphone Warehouse often say they will buy you out of the remaining 6 months of your contract Rubes. For instance, if you like a phone and they said it was a 2 year contract, which most poeple gasp at, they often quickly follow it by, “but you can renew after 18 months” followed by “if you come back here”. We get so excited by the contract being shaved we dont hear what follows  . The fact you got a super duper highway phone for a good deal blurs our memory.
I have had 2 contracts for my youngest from Phones 4 U and never had any problems. Infact we actually managed to shave 8 months of a contract so he could get the new i-phone some months ago now. It can be done, complicatidly somtimes but can be done.

And Gaz……..I’m surprised at you  Giving into the system …. tut tut

think i will just stick with it till february kenty.. just feel aggrieved as first phone i had from them was year contract and wen i was called last year i complained it was too much,, as in i was paying for calls and texts i never made. so the lassie on the phone offereed me a reduction on price, so i agreed o take it a year and as told it was an 18 mnth contract.she as bliddy good at her job, as i was nearly shoutin ” IM Sold” before she could finsh :) and there might even better sooper dooper offers after xmas as they try to get rid of stock for even more sooper doopers :) and so it goes x
