Henman was a good player who was pretty unfortunate not to win Wimbeldon.
I think in a few years time Murray could move to another level. Not too many players are comfortable on Grass, but Murray is. I would certainly bet that he’ll win it at some point. If he gets to the Quarters this year whilst gaining momentum I wouldnt bet against him going further.

I noticed the first “Britain” has progressed to the next round.
Her name is Elena Baltacha, born in the Soviet Union. :?
Comes from Edmonton now I think?
I was trying to work out her accent earlier, I thought I heard scottish in there, must be the russian!
Players are travelling from all over the world just to become Britains first tennis winner.
her old man was a Russian international footballer,he played in Scotland

24 June, 2008 at 7:35 am #350222I still can’t believe Scotland are better than England at tennis. It’s one of the thirteen signs of the apocalypse, you know.

I havent heard her voice. Im kinda surprised there’s any trace of a Russian accent left. There isnt In Maria Shagapova’s and she was older when she moved to the US.
24 June, 2008 at 5:36 pm #350224I didnt hear any russian, just a mixture of southern english and scottish. I dont care as long as she is good, we need something to cheer about in this dark sporting summer.
24 June, 2008 at 10:36 pm #350225Im very optimistc after that match today, it was brilliant, and far exceeded any expectations I had. Okay his oppositon was a 35 year old frenchman, but by jings he was good. His returns were inspiring at times. The match had it all, great rallies, great shots, but most of all superb mental concentration by Murray, to sneak in a few cheeky shots at exactly the right time, how focused he was to do that.
Hats off. I dont care what happens from here in, but that was brilliant. 8)

speaking of which that jock murray will win f u ck allThe game actually started off really well and the guy was holding his own well in the first set despite what must of been a nervous experience, shame he didnt do better but he tried hard but was beaten by experience in the end, but he is only 20 so good luck to him in the future.
