Any one got experiences of teeth whitening? I’ve heard it can be very painful. Not that i wish to have it done but i’ve read many conflicting accounts so am interested in peoples experiences. “From the horses mouth”…so to speak.

I just put a bit of bleach into my dentures container and I find overnight all the nicotine and coffee stains have disappeared …….any bleach will do by the way….Wilkinsons own brand is great value :good:

wife tried this,  was  a bit painful for 24 hours. effects  don’t last. now shelled out for veneers .pricey but effective . so white smile  to match her blue  sparkling eyes.  may be worth a try but if you check with dentists its not long lasting and  isn’t actually  good for teeth if i recall correctly.

Will dentists tell you the truth though?….I mean….it’s not in their interests to tell you the truth……what dentist will tell you…”don’t do that as we lose money out of it?” That’s like phoning up a window sales person who says……..” Of course our windows are the best”…….

At Dentist yesterday myself interesting, as what I am getting for teeth will not be white, white, but natural to conform with my complexion, eyes, facial so to speak. Explained to me that way. Said if not matched up as natural as possible if using whiting strip or getting teeth would be way too noticeable.

The thought of bleach said interesting. Assume do they have to be dried off real good, heated.. think tell you to use polident tablets. Need to check in later on that.

But my Dentist told me that her father a Dentist as well used baking soda and peroxide all their life to brush teeth…cheap would think. Price of toothpaste can cost you a wedge sandwich at a local deli. (Us) $6.00…

    Anyone have implants?

Little scared on that 2nd process after finishing first, and healing process.
Shoot price cost first place, can buy 2 new cars in cash. But was told think 4 screws in jaw on top, 2 at bottom.. I consider that like an invasion and unnatural for body. But then they do have back surgery, knee and hip replacements, even brain trauma use metal plates and such. People survive live better productive life.

If it wasn’t for a dentist appointment my partners oral cancer wouldn’t have been picked up. Speaking to the nurse at the hospital after seeing the specialist we asked about people who dont have a dentist and she replied “3/4 of oral cancer is picked up and referred by the dentist, the ones who we get without a dentist is usely to late to help” So how much is to much for a dentist ?

And to let people know after all the radio and chemo she is now clear but all the treatment has left its mark as she has aged,But shes still my partner.

I was strictly referring to teeth whitening when i said about them “telling you the truth” somer but at the same time……dentists can see a lot of things about one’s health…just like hair dressers can by looking at one’s hair.

Feelings go out to both you and your partner.
