Gloucestershire police force has admitted illegally rejecting 108 job applicants because they were white men.
The Police Federation said the force has been trying to recruit more female officers and more people from ethnic minorities to meet a government target.
But one of the unsuccessful applicants, Matt Powell took legal action and has been awarded £2,500 by a tribunal.
Mr Powell, 30, said he became suspicious when he was told he had been “randomly deselected”.
The case comes six months after Avon and Somerset Police admitted it had illegally rejected almost 200 applications from white men for the same reason.
Police are under pressure to meet the government target, set in 1999, that by 2009, 7% of police officers in England and Wales should be from ethnic minority groups.
Ian Anderson, chairman of Gloucestershire Police Federation blamed unrealistic government targets for their illegal recruitment drive.
“The government set a target of 7% of the force to be from ethnic minorities, when ethnic minorities make up only around 2.8% of the population.
“I think to call it a clumsy policy would be diplomatic.
“It clearly wasn’t the way to do it and has caused a great deal of consternation and disquiet in the force and the local community.”
Earlier this year, Gloucestershire’s Assistant Chief Constable Michael Matthews admitted ‘positive action’ had been taken to recruit more women and from ethnic minorities.
“It is essential in a democratic policing environment to ensure that under-represented groups are prioritised in our recruitment drives,” he said.
Mr Powell’s solicitor, Nigel Tillott, said: “The impact of this is that it is now clear how far public authorities can go in positive action.
“What they cannot do is discriminate against white males when it comes to job applications.”

Cant you see that their multicultural experiment is a mass failure, yet they keep pouring your hard earned into it, in the hope you will believe they are trying to do good.
I read this on sky news earlier and i was going to post it. I couldnt believe what i was reading!!!! Racism is forced on us i think. In my opinion its situations like these that get peoples backs up and causes racism! But to be discriminated against in the country you were born in no matter what colour is pathetic!!!

Well iv noticed that although emma has nothing good to say about the country she supposedly loves she has never actually told us what party we should be voting for out of her own mouth
always quick to jump down others for voting tory or labour or even wasting that cross on the libs
but she has never said “this party is the one who you should vote for”

She’s right though. The best and most qulaified person should get the job. It seems from this article that white people (possibly more qualified) are getting knockbacks because of some racial percentage target.

To stop anti-white racism, your best bet is the BNP.
There are plenty of good things to say about England, me for instance :wink: :D
I will be voting BNP.
I have never been a member of any political party.
The BNP do not pay me. They couldn’t afford me anyway :wink: Maybe if they had a new labour conservative policy of charging people hundreds of thousands of pounds to gain peerage…though im hearing new labour are close to bankruptcy.
The fact is, the BNP willnot be bought, you can make a donation, become a member, buy merchandise, but you cannot buy your ideal policy through them.

If all parties treated their employees (US the tax payers), then you probably wouldn’t have a party like respect and the BNP, because MP’s would have to work for the right to earn.
You guys have a choice, you can either vote for the nightmare, not take part and wonder what the hell is going on, or you can be pro-active and make YOUR future better for YOU.
1.7 million registered on unemployment benefit as july. An extra 1 million than 9 years ago on sick benefit.
Had it not been for the natural job opportunities created by telecommunications (Internet, satelite tv, mobile phones etc), they’d possibly be 4 million unemployed.
