Sorry, but this thread is total bullsh1t. I expect Emma to talk crap but the staggering thing is when people start agreeing to her idiotic attempts at trolling. I mean let’s look at what she’s saying. Emma, who is 110% against the UK having anything at all to do with the EU, is now saying that white, british people should be part of a charity project that receives funding from the EU. What’s stopping your beloved BNP from funding training courses Emma? Is it because they spend all their money on court appearances and bail money?
As for Cas’ stories, maybe you left something out, but how exactly were you going to do a postgraduate course with only an A level and a gcse? Also, didn’t you think that by attending an ESOL class you would be taking the place of someone who actually needed to do the course? It’s ridiculous that you should even think about doing an ESOL class. It doesn’t sound like you’re the victim of racism it sounds like you’re the victim of your own muddled-mind. It sounds like you were given sound advice but chose to ignore it. How exactly were you going to do a degree and a pgce in just 2 years? I’ve never heard of anything like that before. You need to do a degree first (or an access course to enable you to do your degree) then do your PGCE then you can get a job in teaching.
I won’t comment on this particular point any further, except to say that you weren’t there, and i’d applied to do what I had with the support of the tutors i’d been under. As for the permit story, clearly it’s your own fault for not reading the form properly. The guy was just doing his job and he actually did you a favour by not insisting that you bring the right identification. Sometimes people are asked to bring proof of address and proof of identity when filling out paperwork. There’s nothing racist about that, it happens all the time.
The permit………..fine! the form had changed since last year, or did you miss that part? As for him doing me a favour, I think not!!! Like I said, if I had to produce a further two forms of I.D. which under any normal circumstances I wouldn’t have a problem with, then why didn’t the equally BLACK man to himself, have to do the same, or maybe you missed that point also
As for council incompetence regarding housing, everybody has problems with their local council at times so how is that racial discrimination? I’m sure most people here could tell you a story about incompetence by their local council. Do you seriously think black people and asian people don’t have any problems with town halla.
The probably do have problems of their own with various town halls and council officials, but I think the point I made was that I was sick and tired of being spoken to like a lesser mortal than them, with NO provocation !!!
So, I reiterate, this thread is complete and utter nonsense.
I think on the whole Mr B, you should take yourself along to specsavers!!!!!!!!!

1 December, 2006 at 6:55 pm #251771Cas, like I said before your mind is very muddled if you were thinking that doing an ESOL course would help you to do a postgraduate course. An ESOL course is useless to a native speaker of English. If you wanted to teach English to foreigners then you need to do a TEFL course (teaching english as a foreign language). If you want to teach English to English kids then neither a TEFL or an ESOL course would be of any value. Anyway, if you’re not already a graduate then you can’t do a postgraduate course.
As for the black man in front of you in the queue, how do you know that he hadn’t already produced his i.d. to this person on a previous occasion? Or are you sure you saw all the documents he handed over considering he was standing in front of you? Maybe you have x-ray vision.
A council employee talked to you in a surly manner? Wow! You must be the only person on planet earth who was ever spoken to that way by someone in a customer service role. Clear evidence of racism no doubt.
It’s astonishing that you think you ‘re a victim of racial discrimination considering that most of the incidents were your own fault. You were wasting somebody’s time by trying to do an ESOL class and you couldn’t even be bothered to read the form you were given by the council. Racial discrimination my ar$e!
1 December, 2006 at 7:28 pm #251772I think i am not the only one who talk to Cas last and make her wait.
After all, middle age women are a pain in the ass.

Whats wrong with being a victim of racial discrimination? I would’ve thought it nice that someone understands the difference between one thing or another, or understands good racial taste?
