WELL DONE MURRAY
Do you know ANYTHING about sport? Why don’t you try playing at that level, constantly, no breaks, for 3 weeks, and play 3 tournaments in them 3 weeks. Even Federer would feel the heat, same as Nadal, and all the other great players..So yes, he was feeling fatigue….And everyone who watched the game, could see that. And it’s also understandable.
OH PARDON ME 4 POSTING ROBBO,OFCOURSE I KNOW ABOUT SPORT,READ MY POST,WHO ARE YOU TO JUDGE ROBBO,I,LL BE CONTRIBUTING LOADS,IF YOU DON’T AGREE FAIR ENOUGH,BUT DON’T JUDGE ME.P.S. I HAPPEN 2 THINK MURRAYS A BREATH OF FRESH AIR OIN BRITISH TENNIS CIRCLES….SO THINK B4 YOU GO OFF ON ONE.MY POST WAS NOT SLAGGING MURRAY BUT FELLOW POSTERS HARPING ON ABOUT HOW MUCH IT TAKES OUT OF YOU TO PLAY TOURNAMENT TENNIS.I AND MR MURRAY KNOWS IT COMES WITH THE AFORESAID TERRITORY…..YOURS FAITHFULLY COUNTY STANDARD SPORTSMAN.
First of all..County tennis players don’t play many tournaments..I know, I played for our county, and got bored with hardly being in any tournaments, because that’s what County tennis is like..It’s all practise, training, and what not, to improve your game…So how can you compare your county tennis with Murray who is a pro? Are you trying to imply that your fitness level is anything near of Federers? The Nadals? The Roddicks? Murrys? Federer publicly told the media that he felt a tad bit tired after playing in toronto, then coming to this series…Compared to Federer, Murray has played 4 more tournaments since Wimbledon, while Federer has only played in 2 since then…Murray played 3 in 3 weeks, while Federer did the 2 and was knocked out of the last one in the second round…So yeh, stick to your county tennis, because the schedule is nothing like it is when you are a pro..It is hard, regardless of how fit you are. If you were or are a county player, then you should know how hard it is to just maintain your fitness…Just imagine how hard it is for them.
WHERE IN MY POST DID I COMPERE MYSELF WITH TOP TENNIS PRO’S SEEMS YOU CAN POST ON THIS THREAD AS LONG AS YOU AGREE WITH OTHERS,I,M NOT OR HAVE I EVERY BEEN A COUNTY TENNIS PLAYER,I SAID I PLAYED SPORT AT COUNTY LEVEL…THAT WAS IN RESPONSE TO YOUR INANE REMARK*DO I KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT SPORT*NOW I,M OSTRACISED 4 DISAGREEING WITH YOU HOW SAD.
GETTING BACK TO THREAD,HERES HOPING HE CAN BEAT RODDICK
And that has what to do with tennis? I was using that as an example, my friend..I ran for my county, East Anglia..But you can’t compare that with tennis, because they are both different.
Also, if you made your posts easier to read, users wouldn’t get confused. It was near enough impossible to understand what you were pointing your post directly at.
Anyway, yes..Good luck, Murray

come on robbo, dont go all statiticion on us lol!! (thats what bores me with sport… the useless stats that are spouted about nowadays…. it ruins the sport in question!!)
anyone for tennis?
I was answering her stupid answer for her..It doesn’t ruin the sport at all..It’s because what you see on TV, is what actually happened..And if players are constantly fussing over the busy schedule of tennis in these last 2 years, then you can’t really clarify it as an opinion, because players are becoming physically unfit to play another round of tennis.
18 August, 2006 at 9:58 pm #235457Oh fgs sake Robbo grow up and stop being an absolute spoilt brat
18 August, 2006 at 10:06 pm #235458lets enjoy the sport, for the sport that it is everybody!!
18 August, 2006 at 10:07 pm #235459Well said Sharon…………………..but hate being patronised
18 August, 2006 at 10:16 pm #235460which is why i hate stats…… people who know many stats also know lots of stuff (in their opinion) and i dont meant that directly at rob, its just one of my hates in sport in general… you cant watch a footie match now without andy gray spouting out another unnecessary stat that you could really sleep without knowing lol!!
i love sport and love chatting/debating it, but i dont like it when others like to make it known they know more than you.
and rob please accept i am generalising here and not personalising matey, this post is not about you hun in no way, im just giving a view on sport (my view)
