26 June, 2005 at 8:45 am #113006Following (Tiger?) Tim’s early demise to the local afghani Shopkeeper with a tennis bat, at least Britain had some cheer at Wimbledon with Murrays tenacious tennis. A hero for all British tennis fans……. that is, however, until he lost yesterday….. and he’s back to being Scottish !!!
  :lol:26 June, 2005 at 2:49 pm #113007:lol: Id tip him to win it within 3-5 years. The talents there, so the conditioning can b worked on. Id imagine he’s never played a 5 set match in his career before yesterday?
26 June, 2005 at 2:57 pm #113008Nah. 5 sets of tennis requires a massive amount of stamina. Ya gotta remember Pete it was only his 6th proffesional game. It takes a while to realise whats required at that level, mentally and physically. Other players who have turned pro dont usually get thrown in at the deep end at Wimbeldon right away. Wait till next year and you’ll see a more rounded player.
26 June, 2005 at 4:16 pm #113009Nah mate, the guys the real deal. Not another nearly man like little Englander Kim Henman.
30 June, 2005 at 1:40 pm #113010henman is ranked somthing like 18th in the world? or is it higher..
how many people are in this world?
he may not be as good as the top players.. but rubbish is’nt the word to use
as for murrey, hes showing signs of being a great SCOTISH tennis player, all the best to him
30 June, 2005 at 5:57 pm #113011I dont think its too much of a stretch of the imagination to suggest if Murray had done hard stamina training, then he might have been looking at a Semi-Final against Rodd.ick tommorow.
It’s impossible to tell how a player adaptes to being a pro, but id tip Andrew Murray to b a top 20 player. -
