A district councillor who was suspended from the Conservative Party has defected to the British National Party.

Robert West, of South Holland District Council, in Lincs was suspended after he spoke at a BNP meeting.

The 50-year-old said his switch was prompted by Conservative leader David Cameron’s priority list of candidates for the next general election.

He said the list excluded white male candidates in favour of women, non-whites, homosexuals and lesbians.

    ‘Traditional beliefs’

In a statement, Mr West said: “I have decided to seek refuge from political correctness by applying for asylum with the British National Party – Britain’s finest and most decent party – in our country’s hour of need.”

Mr West said he had been a lecturer in political philosophy and equal opportunities law and taught under franchise at the universities of Nottingham and East Anglia.

He has set up his own church, based in a house in Holbeach, to preach “traditional bible beliefs”.

He said Conservative leader David Cameron was “talking nonsense” when he recently called on people to oppose the BNP.

With cameleon cameron choosing candicy on image, more and more old conservatives will leave. You simply cannot win electoral power on image alone, you need policy that voters agree with, and ever since cameron became tory leader, question after question posed about what is tory policy, was ignored for the spin answer “we dont know what it will be until nearer election time”, which is a complete insult to traditional tory membership and the future voting potential.

    New conservatism = new labour.

Its bad enough new labour are the way they are, without a strong willed opposition. What do you think Tommy?

I am sure the ONE BNP councillor in South Holland will make his mark, eh? He is obviously a fruitloop since he has decided to form his own church to teach “traditional bible beliefs”. FFS just what the BNP need – another nutter!

By the way, I don’t see where the figure of 55 comes from as I only make that 47: either way, at 55 it is still just 0.25% of all the councillors and they have NIL MPs, so we can sleep safe for a while yet.

I was more interested in the other BNP story of the day:

A theatre in Kent has sacked its drama tutor after it was revealed she had been working for the British National Party (BNP).

It happened after a newspaper revealed that Emma Chamberlain, from Deal, presented interviews and features on the far-right party’s website.

The Astor Theatre Arts Centre in Deal said it had decided not to renew her contract “with immediate effect”.

A BNP spokesman said Ms Chamberlain was the victim of a witch-hunt.

Ms Chamberlain had worked at the theatre for four years as a drama co-ordinator, which involved teaching children aged from four to 14.

The Astor Theatre trustees discussed her position over the Easter holidays and decided not to renew the contract.

Labour MP for Dover and Deal, Gwyn Prosser, said the endorsement of people such as Ms Chamberlain was the type of support the BNP was looking for.

“Is it right that someone who supports that political party should be teaching young children? I say ‘no’,” he said.

“I do not mind whether the person doing that job is a Liberal Democrat or Conservative or Labour Party or Green Party member.

“I do mind if they are members of extreme right parties.”

Well said Sir, and 99.75% of British local councillors will echo your remarks! What is it with these people called Emma btw???

Im with you James on the religious part, cant stand the nutters who REALLY think theres a god. Makes you wonder if part of the reason phony blair went to war, was to defend christianity from the fastest growing world religion (Islam).

55 is the number the bnp website team say. The media hate to say how good they do, so i’d rather believe the bnp on this one.

That theatre story is a month old, not may 15th…

Wow, agreement on something! One small step for JC, one giant leap for Emma & JB… sadly it didn’t last…I think he went to war cos his puppetmaster wanted control of the oil.

Either way, the number of BNP councillors is of no statistical or material importance and the people on the street voted for him because he was representing the Tory Party – he probably won’t get re-elected now he is representing the fascists.

Good point, I got it from your original link and assumed it was more of today’s news. Well it was news to me anyway!

Partly, but i think its about religious ideology controlling power, oil is just a small part of that.

Only to those who dont live in areas where bnp councilours exist, and the areas where those who wont want to live there, move to and expand the non white communities.

the people on the street voted for him because he was representing the Tory Party

Partly, but the main reason was that he knocked on many a door expressing his own policies, not tory policies.

he probably won’t get re-elected now he is representing the fascists.

But he was representing tory fascists, and that helped him win.
The moment everday voters realise that being a fascist and a racist is something alot more normal than the media and the lefty brainwashers express, will probably be the day people dont give a monkey’s whether the bnp are those things or not, and bnp policy that people would like to vote for now, guides them to power.

Thats not what i want necessarily, its what i expect to happen, because bnp policy is a long tern strategy, whilst the “mainstream” policies are short term gain/long term instability.

Its racist to believe the specific characteristics, abilities, or qualities of a group of people who share a common feature.
Its fascism to be intolerant of someone.
Hardly things to describe as REALLY evil, yet we all take part in those things, and call the bnp evil at the same time…

I’ve been and probably still am a bit sceptical about a God. I’ve never called anyone who believes in God a “nutter” though.
God is as good a reason as any for the creation of the Universe, since no one can say why the Universe came into effect, or why something would come from nothingness.
Getting a bit off topic, but ya get my drift.

I meant nutter as in fundamentalist who forms his own church – not all people who go to church, although if you knew my Auntie Mary you might change your views there too… I assume there is no reason why God, if he or she did exist, couldn’t be Black (or is that just too bizarre for middle-england to accept)?

I was quoting Emma’s line “Cant stand the nutters who really think there’s a God”.
I know what you said originally was completly different to that.

He certainly wouldent have been a pasty white , blue-eyed boy as he’s portrayed.

So are the BNP going the same way as the Liberals – with a similarly assorted collection of homo-porn stars , sodomites, and coprophiliacs as their members.

Maybe they could have a joint party political broadcast (or even a partly political broadcast?) with each one taking it in turns to shag the other up the shitter on camera, whilst shouting political slogans to the audience?

I wonder what they could shout.

How about ”Up the Liberals – right up them” or ”Take THAT you BNP poofdah”; or ”Eat shit you fascist swine”?

Anybody care to suggest other slogans along these lines???
