Stating the obvious I know, but this is a really tough one to answer….. if ANYONE hurt my daughter I would fight tooth and nail against them., and yes I agree with Words on this, how you feel and how you should act can be, and should be two totally different responses. I don`t think on a personal level I could live with myself with “an eye for amn eye” ethos, though I do think laws should be completely overhauled. I don`t think we, or any country, has the right to dictate to another about their laws and punishments. To quote another bible saying “Let he who is without sin cast the first stone”

Ultimately I think it down to every individual to either accept the laws or do their damnedest to change them, and unless you are ever personally in that kind of situation it`s impossible to guess how you would feel and react.
