having a pee , is the most natural thing in the world too – but you don’t lowp your d ick out , or drop your sloggis in the middle of tesco’s car park and have a pee – unless you are a geordie of course !!!

How can you even say the 2 things in the same sentance. Feeding EATING is life or death, sometimes you dont even know a woman is feeding it can be done so discreetly. Its a big fuss over nothing. What about labour programmes on in the afternoon showing EVERYTHING are they wrong to show nature??

It doesn’t bother me in the slightest Becky if a lady want’s to get her breasts out in public – but why all the fuss about it
Why get them out to prove the point that this is 2006 and yes its pc

Surely its better to go somewhere private – most supermarkets have feeding rooms now – and do it there ( would u eat your dinner in a 4 x 4 box ?? )All this new age pc – I’m a modern woman – I can get my tits out anywhere I want to feed my baby – is just a bit ott – methinks

Unfortunetly babies feed on demand Drivel….. and the first few weeks their constantly snuggling in and feedin away quiet contented…… without a care in the world….

people seem to forget…. their natural things breasts…. not sexual…. where was formula milk back in the year dot…??? its men whom has made breasts a sexual object…. MEN…

did you also know that breast feeding is actually fairly stressfull as it is…. make sure baby is latched on etc… and is actually feedin…!! When woman are made to feel degraded becuase they are giving their child the best milk for them… cause stress and anxiety inwhich cause the baby a stressfull thing whilest tryin to feed…. so GUYS…. REM… your shock n horror at the most natural thing being done…. causes more grief,….

as been said before…. Ive breastfeed both my children and did so without as you say… whippin my tit out….. I did so because it was a natural thing to do…. and I wasnt doin anything wrong… or immoral…!!! woman have breasts to nurture…. not for a quick grope from a man…!!

You said everything spot on =D> =D>

    You miss my point Mary

What could be more stressful than breast feeding your baby in the middle of a crowded marked or shop with people gawping

Surely its better if there were adequate private feeding facilities

As for eating out a small box – apart from the obvious sexual innuendo – which i would never repeat – my bait box is exactly 9 inches by 6 inches

Ok, I’ll just call a spade a spade here. The magazine published the picture n the cover to grasp the people’s attention in order to sell the magazine in order to make the profit. I highly doubt the editors where thinking “what a beautiful picture of a mother giving nourishment to her child”. I’m not at all saying that I disagree with these types of pictures of breastfeeding, but I don’t think it has to be on the front cover and exploited for profit. Just as women have the right to nurse in public, individuals also have the right to disagree with it and maybe it shouldn’t be thrown in their face. I’m an adult and the picture does not offend me in the least. But, some parents don’t want their children seeing that image and that should also be respected. Therefore I think the picture should have been placed on the inside of the magazine. I highly agree with breastfeeding. It’s the best form of nutrition you can give your child. I do think that discretion is key though. Women were blessed with breasts to feed their offspring. But when not used for their main purpose, breasts are used for sexual arousal. Some people just can’t separate the two points. Breastfeeding is also an intimate bonding time with your child, which is why I think just tossing a nursery blanket over feeding time is appropriate.

AW I also dont want to walk into my local newsagents every day and see the Daily Sport, with gross images, and they ARE gross, of women with everything spread so wide you can see what they had for breakfast. No not everyone wants to see a picture of a woman breasfeeding her child on a magazine, but in all honesty, which is the worse of the two? As for children seeing that image.. I have no problem atall with either of my children seeing a picture of a mother breastfeeding her child. Thats how mine were fed… if your going to start saying cover it up, it makes it into something dirty, to be ashamed of, and it,s not. FFS someone please tell me, I did ask before, what century are we living in, when a photo of a mother breastfeeding her child is deemed offensive? I despair at this world sometimes I really do.

I’m just trying to keep the topic going with an alternative viewpoint !

If as you say babies are demanding in the first few weeks – why take them out shopping etc then ?>??

As for life and death – I’m sure the baby would survive until you found a feeding room , or got back home
No ones saying its dirty or shameful but a lot of people are uncomfortable with having breasts thrust into their faces – personally I’m not !

And just WHO eats hairy kebabs for breakfast !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don’t know the Daily Sport but we have Porno magazines and I agree with you. I don’t want to see that either and haven’t (well, I did find my husbands high school stash that he refuses to give up  ). They are sold on the top shelf (out of children’s eyes and reach) and usually have a black plastic cover over it so you don’t see anything. But like I said, Breastfeeding does not offend me. I was raised the same way you were – Breastfeeding was very natural. But I don’t think covering it up makes it dirty, it just respects the people around that are not used to it. Trust me, just because a woman is covered does not mean it’s shameful – People know what’s going on under that blanket. To me, all that shows is a lady discreetly and personally feeding her child. I don’t think there is anything wrong with that.

I was going to say that, Top shelf stuff is worse all kids know where it is and i see them staring up all the time. You see a huge pair of boobs with a tiny littlw star to cover the nipple but you can see what it means and open leg covers with a tiny star covering her “modesty”. I would rather see aa baby feeding than some 40+ readers wife open legged looking slaggy on the front.

Yes but they don’t show the picture of a pu ssy dripping blood on the front cover of Woman’s Weekly.

    That’s the point.

Breast feeding is fine, just don’t show pictures of children doing it on the front cover of a magazine, there ARE perverts and there ARE paedophiles out there.

There are alot of sick people here too.

Tommy, you no longer amuse me, you just go too far now, shame really.

    You won’t get one.

If you all think it’s ok to have images on front pages that expose children to Paedophiles, perverts, sicko’s and expose young children to images they shouldn’t be seeing, then you all genuinely deserve to be hanged with the rest of the sicko’s.

Am I the ONLY person left in the world with morals ffs?!

So do you not read the posts before grouping everyone into a single cluster?
Shame Shame Tommy – Read my posts and then retract your comment ffs.
