    Has kicked the bucket. Apparently a drink and drug overdose which will come as no suprise.

    I’m not her biggest fan musically but http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TJAfLE39ZZ8&ob=av2n i can never tire of and kinda fitting video.

    Let’s see how the gutter press deal with this after most likely making her life even more difficult by ripping on her with glee and highlighting her fragile state.

    Another bad thing is her father doesn’t even know, yet the rest of the world does.

    Apparently he is on a plane at this moment in time.

    Gosh just terrible…I cannot imagine how awful that will be for him….. you can bet that the papers will be there to photograph him getting off the plane… awful news on every front today :cry:

    I have to be honest and say that whilst she had a distinctive voice, I could never really see what all the fuss was about. What a waste of a life though, and not through want of people trying to help.

    No doubt she will be depicted as a tortured soul by the media who will trawl through her life in the minutest detail looking for any speck of dirt that might have previously been overloooked.

    A while ago I went to see Elke Brooks at Harrogate Theatre, sat next to me was a simply stunning girl who explained to me she was a model in London and had made a special trip to Harrogate to bring her grandma to see Elke for her birthday.

    Anyway after watching Elke sing Lilac Wine, Pearls a Singer and some of her other hits… this beautiful young woman whispered to me…. I think I have just witnessed Amy Winehouse when she is older. It crossed my mind then… thats if she makes it….. so sad :(

    Its all so very sad that i think most people half expected this to happened and its no huge shock.

    Such a talented and troubled soul finally at peace….just so tragic :(
