A family with a 7 year old daughter moves into a new house. Next door there’s a crew building a new home. The little girl is very curious, and watches the men intently the whole first day.

The second day she brings them over some sandwiches and lemonade at lunch time, and sits with them while they eat.

The following day she shows up early and they give her little jobs to do; cleaning up around the job site, keeping the tools organized, etc.

So this continues on for the rest of the week; every morning she gets up, puts on her overalls, packs a lunch, and goes to work with the men. At the end of the week the guys pass around a hat and all throw some cash in for the little girl. She gets $100 for her week’s work.

Her mother is so impressed, she takes the girl downtown to the bank to open a savings account. The teller is very nice, and asks the little girl how she got SO much money for herself. The girl responds, “I was workin’ over on the job site all week.”

The teller asks, “And will you be working again next week?”

To which the girl answers, “Well I will if those a**holes down at Home Depot get the f*ckin’ sheet-rock in.”
