geez sounds like eastenders cant believe things like this happen in real life, i can understand ur feelings with ur child but shes is her nanna maybe just do the occassional put up visit with u there all the time u dont have to make polite convo, but i can understand how u feel but maybe she thought about doing it for your unborn child worried abt the dog, im playing devils advocate though cos i’d rip her head off big style lol, but dont think id stop her son and grandchild going there and the odd visit to u as long as she knows how u feel abt her theres no pretence and she’ll know she is only there because of the love for ur husband and child and that your big enough not to be as vicious as her.
17 June, 2008 at 9:45 pm #349063talk about over stepping the mark! sorry to hear that and it looks like fate stepped in and halted you from making a huge mistake.

17 June, 2008 at 11:48 pm #349065What a bizarre story kenty. and how awful for someone else to play god,as it were.
This will do nothing for your trust with your mum in law. She maybe deep down assumed she was doing you a favour or sorts, But id not be happy either. As she lied to you.right now you need almost babied yourself, and to feel reassured that life is ok to bring a baby into. Believe me,,it IS ! and not everyone is out to be such a kunt ! Though i wouldn’t blame you ,if you never took this woman at face value again.
NOT NICE !
18 June, 2008 at 10:29 am #349066Put the mother-in-law down. Let the dog live in her house. And you can then visit it anytime you like.

Red you’re all heart  were talking about a pet here, its not something you just throw away when it causes you an inconvenience
I understand kents situation though that the animal has behavioural problems…and with a baby on the way, its a difficult decision to make.
Kent dont be rushed into making a decision you might regret just because your new landlords wont allow pets, there WILL be other houses, but once you’ve let him go you probably wont ever see him again. RSPCA is probably your best option if you really cant see any another way around the situation. At least then you’ll know he will be looked after and given a decent home with the attention he needs.
18 June, 2008 at 5:15 pm #349068oh and what a C.UNT your mil is i’d be fuming
18 June, 2008 at 5:33 pm #349069The Dogs Trust is another good charity, and there are plenty of on-line re-homing services too.
Whats the latest Kenty?
Honestly if my dog didnt want to rip apart all other dogs I would give him a forever home for you, but its impossible.
18 June, 2008 at 6:07 pm #349070Yep! I would say a dogs home is the best..Because at least you know they are going
to be well looked after, and I think now a days, they actually give new dog owners the
third degree!! before allowing the dog to be taken away from the home, so you wont have
to worry so much.18 June, 2008 at 6:30 pm #349071Try not to stress yourself out too much Kenty. Remember you’re carrying a little baby in that belly and she feels all the stress you’re under. Let your husband deal with your MONSTER-in-law and you take it easy.
