Absolute joy, to the inevitable, in my words……..

Take another look in the mirror, now what do you see?
A happier person? Hopefully,

No more tears, just beautiful bright eyes,
No more sadness, this boy doesn’t lie,

What has happened, that’s all in the past,
This is a love, that if you want it, will last and last,

Look again, this time with hope,
No more sadness, no slippery slope,

I want to change that sadness, to life that is fun,
I want your grey clouds turned into the sun,

Together, we can finally decide,
To rid you of this pain, that is so deep inside,

The lines of sorrow, will change to laughter,
Making you happy is all that I’m after,

Tomorrow has come, it’s here today,
Life can be happy, if you let it this way,

You can cope now, for again you are strong,
For this you have waited far, far too long,

Take my hand, and hold it tight,
Let’s run together, without any fright,

Follow my lead, and take a chance,
On what could be an eternal dance,

The next time you look deep inside your mind,
I hope its only happiness that you will find,

One last glance in the mirror, now what do you see?
Warmth, brightness, a girl of beauty.

And then 7 weeks later, the inevitable………….

My turn for the mirror, now what do I see?
A very hurt boy, totally unworthy,

Unworthy of life, of no use at all,
No trust left, drained of it all,

Why did you do it, why did you lie?
You told me you loved me, as you looked in my eyes,

You didn’t mean it, none of it at all,
You knew I was vulnerable, why were you so cruel?

You gave me hope, through a tissue of lies,
All meaningless words, I’m mystified,

I just could not do that, for my own ends,
I would never lie to one of my friends,

I treated you like an angel, with utmost respect,
I gave you my everything, my life in effect,

I told you the truth, straight from my heart,
You told me lies, and kept me in the dark,

You wished I was another, for that there’s no blame,
But why did you lie to me, again and again,

That’s where my hurt is, the lack of respect,
To someone that adored you, in my mindset,

I hope that life does you no wrong,
Mine will be good, for I am good and I’m strong.
