Do you think this young girl should be flown over here for an abortion? Many people have gone on about the babys rights, and how it isn,t the babys, fault. No it isn,t but this young girl is only 11 years old and she was raped!!!!
link27 June, 2008 at 9:51 am #350912personally I am pro-choice all the way and feel that if she wants to abort it then it is her right to do so, an eleven year old should not have to live with something that would constantly remind her of the horrendous and traumatising event under which the child was conceived
27 June, 2008 at 5:11 pm #350913i think that she should be allowed the abortion, she’s still a child herself and shouldn’t have to go through with childbirth/raising a child.
if tarts in britain can go screw about and get rid of the ‘consequences’ until 24weeks then this little girl should also have that chance.
27 June, 2008 at 6:01 pm #350914A child having a child.
The circumstances are hard to stomach. My feeling is that it is the family who are deciding what will happen to her, but that is fair enough as she is so young – too young to make decisions. But the psychological effects of what has happened to her will not be alleviated by an abortion. It will just be another kind of rape. And her child will be killed too, yet another thing she will have to deal with as she becomes an adult … and I have heard from people who have had abortion that they regret it as soon as they hold their first child in their arms.
My heart contracts at what she has suffered and will still suffer.

12 July, 2008 at 7:20 pm #350916i think it should be up to the individual person, i was horrified the other day reading about a girl of 18 whom has had 4 abortions, in her case she is abusing it as aform of contreception i know that aint spelt rite…!! but people whom force a child to have a child at that age and what has happened to her r no worst than the person that raped her sadly..!! sends sudders down my spine kids havin kids…
14 July, 2008 at 9:20 pm #350917poor kid she,s gonna suffer either way, having the baby or having an abortion.whichever way it will affect her now and in her adult years.I hope they shot or castrated the B**tard that raped her.
22 July, 2008 at 1:59 pm #350918I know anybody who read my posts about this topic on the Polls board a few months ago will know what I’m about to say. In my eyes, I think her childhood has already been taken away. I don’t think the baby’s life should taken as well. I feel the girl should go through with the pregnancy as well as giving her intense psychotherapy before and after she has the baby. Furthermore, I don’t think she should go through delivery. My aunt is nurse in the baby ward at the hospital and when girls under a certain age come in, they are put to sleep and given a cesarean. They family should put the baby up for adoption, but give the baby to a family who will allow the young mother to see her child once she is an adult if she chooses to do so.
For what it’s worth, that’s my opinion.
