Asked whether he meant radical clerics would be forced to leave, he said those with dual citizenship could possibly be asked to move to the other country. Education Minister Brendan Nelson later told reporters that Muslims who did not want to accept local values should “clear off. Basically people who don’t want to be Australians, and who don’t want, to live by Australian values and understand them, well then, they can basically clear off”, he said.
Separately, Howard angered some Australian Muslims on Wednesday by saying he supported spy agencies monitoring the nation’s mosques.

Sweets, I have another slightly more left of field view- if you’re English, no matter what you’re colour, you have a right to an opinion. Waspish (on here) is half or quarter Australian- does that disenfranchise her from having a view she can share? She’s no more English than any 3rd generation BWI or British Indian/Pakistani/Sri Lankan and hence they have a view to
And in final I;d say to anyone, of any colour, creed, and race- if you don’t like it here, no matter how long you’ve lived here (10, 100, 1000 years)- find somewhere else you will like….and leave, just like the Aussie says

But if you’ve read previous posts of mine Slayer you’ll see I’ve said exactly the same thing.. Colour is of no importance to me.. what bothers me..and it does !!.. Is immigrants who come here just because we are a soft touch, the ones who know you don’t have to have a job, profession, place to live or money to support you whilst you’re here.. If you give to this country then you have a right to an opinion.if you don’t… no matter what colour you are… you either shut up or fvck off :!: :!:

I’m going to say something now, and for the first time in my life on here, I’m being serious & I’m genuine.
If we had a prime minister who cared about this country, I would seriously join the army, and I would be more than happy and more importantly, I’d be looking forward to and be PROUD of fighting for the country and I would not be afraid to die for such a cause. And that is the honest to god 100% truth.
So, if Argentina invaded the Falklands and voluntary service was suddenly announced and we could have 2 weeks basic training then be shipped off to fight – I’d do it in a flash. No worries.
It’s just, I don’t know. Everyonw knows me here, you can’t get much more patriotic than me, I mean, for god sake, I won’t even buy butter that isn’t made in Yorkshire and I won’t buy any sauce that doesn’t have “By Appointment to Her Majesty The Queen” on the side of the neck of it.
But, I just feel that people who sign up to the army these days, don’t sign up because of their country or because of patriotism. I’m starting to think they sign up just because they have no future and thus join the army as a slingshot into quick, free, advanced, sped-up education. Such as a friend of mine joined the Royal Signals just so he could get his HGV, for free !!
Is this what Britain has been reduced to? I really do, genuinely, and honestly, feel like I am the ONLY patriotic Briton left in this country.
I look around me, and this is what I see.
Pro-EU Labour Supporters signing up to the military to fight for New Labour & The EU.
Pro-EU BNP Supporters signing up to the BNP to beat up other British people because of the colour of their skin instead of beating up people who deserve it, such as Labour voters, who are, by the majority, white !!Even the racists of Britain are anti-racist. I mean, Nick Griffin meets with French & German nationalists. Oh great, so, our great Britiah leader, Nick Griffin, who is supposed to love the British, is meeting with Napoleon lovers who wish for England’s death and Hitler lovers who wish for England’s death? Even the fucking BNP hate England !!
I’m fighting against BOTH nazis AND communists. Atleast everyone else is only fighting against one or the other. Whereas, I’m in the middle, and the only one who really cares about the country.

AS much as I hate to admit it Smiley ..you’re right… and another thing I’m loathe to admit is… If only Thatcher was in charge again…. I think the reason for that much of the time is people are nowadays defined as a racist by left wing minority hugging definitions from the academic proffession who live in a very detached from real life kind of enviroment
As such many of the people called racists arent, they just dislike things about either individual non white british people or specific groups and sub groups of people from other countries or cultures, but as a tosser is a tosser no matter what colour their skin and as most of them would dislike the exact same things if done by a white person they arent actually racist, also a lot of people who do get called racists by the media are actually nationalists who think our culture and way of life has as much right to exist without being swamped or diluted by other cultures as those others cultures themselves are given
The only people who WOULDNT converse in any way shape or form are simple minded bigots and paranoid xenophobes actually, nationalists have a different name to both of those because they arent the same thing, although the media would have the spoonfed mindless majority believe otherwise
We live on the planet with people of other countries, we trade with them and now more than ever rely on some degree of interaction with them at least on an economic level so conversing is pretty much unnavoidable, but theres a very broad spectrum between never ever conversing with anyone of another culture or race and the other extreme as pushed by new labour of bending over and taking it with a smile from anyone of any other culture whilst showing no level of equality towards our own culture
Nationalists and even racists sit at niether extreme but somewhere between the two so I wouldnt see then talking to other “nationalists” as being anything to write home about really

AND THE BRITISH GOVERNMENT HAS HELPED THEM ALL THE WAY!!!!! It’s already happened in Northern Ireland and it can happen near you!
