In this pleasure i seek
the mirror facing me
for only if i stare
and my eyelids would close
to see a myriad of dreams unfold
to my hearts desire
where we can softly dance
on a frozen rainbow
The ice at your feet
the colours in your heart
the threads of a prelude
from watery spheres of love
a belief so true
i know what i feel is real
a tangle of emotions
to reveal who really cares
But then i awaken, in half light
to see the flames
dancing along the floor
while the ash looks in with its black stare.
a tap on the window in the wind
a need never spoken or confessed
as the dawn fights through
to a new beginning
Slowly it opens its light in to the room
as the last flickers retreat in to the fire.
The ash now opens its arms
standing proud by a crimson sky.
