and smile with fondness
and rememberher voice and soft hands
which danced through my hair
as we played the rhythms of love

and counted the stars
Prisms of our dreams
shattering on the sandHer longing stare so sweet
did gaze upon my lips
reflecting from her eyes
the pools of light did seek.but secrets and regrets
lay behind our stolen moments
pushing through tender touches
changing innocence to guiltBut in the beat of a heart
life gets torn apart
leaving a wreckage to explore upon the shore
breaking waves of hopeoh, and that shore so desolate now
with an angry wind tearing me apart.
The moon has now left me
to seek solace in my sorrow.My shadow haunts me
throws me to the sea
where i feel reborn and free
hearing a seagull screamFrom across the salty marsh
its flight does glide with ease
i wish my wings could see
the cool night winter breeze.
