I think you’re doing a great injustice to people..elderly or otherwise, Matty..for whom the physical restraints of age or ill-health bring experiences every iota as valid as your own (presumably)active ones. The soul and the spirit don’t necessarily change on becoming encased in sinew and skin raddled by sickness and/or time, and a life spent even in solitary contemplation is as real as one spent abseiling down mountains with a pack of robust companions.
I hope you never have occasion to frantically cling to a life that is steadily being drained out of you, Matty; eager for every sunrise and every morning chorus.

i’m talking about myself, not you or anyone else
, i repeat, i don’t want to spend 10 or so years just wasting away

STARRING..Granny from the Loony Toons Cartoons as..Pasty

    FEATURING..A ickle man wiv a ickle todger as..Ickle Dwarf-Boy

In this week’s adventure..Pasty and Ickle Dwarf-boy attempt a soft-shoe-shuffle at the deep-end in West Wickham Municipal Baths..with hilarious results.
Tune in next week, when the intrepid duo attempt to eat consomme with a fork.
    Th..th..that’s all folks!!!

spose that was easier than answering my question. morphine must be a grt experience. 8)

Actually..morphine was the only thing that kept me going for a long time..and yes I was on the brink of topping myself until my dose was upped even further to cope with the unbelieveable pain. But after a considerable time, the morphine caused such a build-up of toxicity in my body that I suffered acute renal failure along with septicaemia, and whilst dying in ITU underwent withdrawal symptoms that..had i the option..I would have chosen death in preference to. Hospitalised for a month in that instance..I can positively assure you, Pats, that morphine was NOT a great experience.

    cue the violins………….. :-({|= :-({|= :-({|= :-({|= :-({|=

pats no need for violins to the post :( Esme is my freind and has a lot to cope with and its not easy or an illness to be made fun of :(

hugs esme , come on all of you lets just get back to the subject in hand, nuff pops now xxxx

its a shame more dont know her well though , she has been there fer me the last 12 months and is one of my closest freinds, this place just gets out of hand i guess pats at time dont it, sometimes tis the way the post is read starts it cos u cant get the real meaning or feeling from the written word on here :( its a horrible medium of communication at times, if this discussion was going on fer real it would probably come over in an entirely different life. I’m not being inflammatory to anyone but esme is one of my closest friends and of course i wil be there fer her xxx

Actually, I was addressing Matty, when Fasty poked his beak in for no other reason than to have a go. It was only a matter of time before the pair of you fancied a bite..in that respect you certainly haven’t failed to disappoint. As for me being a bi.tch..that’s laughable coming from a woman who thinks compassion is a magnetized device for finding directions. You’re a nasty piece of work, but I think your commentary here, has made that evident for all to see..keep digging that hole!

And all I meant was..don’t wish an early death on yourself Matty. Life can be good, whatever the obstacles..it’s just that perspectives may change as you get older.. I wish you a long, happy, healthy and fulfilling life!!
