This subject is one that has… and will be… discussed forever, and an answer will never be found. My personal view is… that the more heinous the crime the more the perpetrator should be made to suffer. Killing him/her… although not a nice thing to have to go through… is ultimately letting them off lightly. Let them live…. and induce the torment for as long as humanly possible.
well i never thought i would do this fasty but….. =D> =D> =D> =D>
the austrian guy for instance should be locked in a cellar with no light of day, and the same thing done to him as he did to his own flesh and blood!!!
4 May, 2008 at 11:04 pm #333243I don’t agree with the death penalty, I used to until I became oddly obsessed with the matter, I have read many pages on this subject, I don’t think it’s a fair justice system, the rich get off and the poor die, that’s just for a starters!
:twisted:4 May, 2008 at 11:07 pm #333244i do agree too an extent but prisons are too soft anyway certainly in this country, thats no hardship and at the same time rather than have a reasonable existence with all the pc human right rubbish prisoners get and cost a fortune on keeping them for however many years they get before the sentence is greatly reduced and they are released, unable to get a job and rely on the country to support them on the dole, that money could be spent on helping kids like those that are abused, and other victims of crimes. so im still torn if its a 100% certainty let em go unless they truly bring back proper punishment for these criminals in which case i agree with fasty.
4 May, 2008 at 11:09 pm #333245Much as id like em to be tortured doesnt that make us as bad as them take a gun put it against their heads pull the trigger how many of you would have hesitated with Myra Hindley?

goes back to my first point.
Even now there are re-trials left right and centre.
We may have one of the best justice systems in the world, but technicallities and the human rights act does and will allow for injustices all the time.
It was only a few months back a guy in America on death row came home was it not?
It aint all Derek Bentley, its any of us, you or me. Ive been almost arrested (hours of questions) because of DNA at a crime scene.
Till you live and work both sides of it dont be so damn sure.
