A joke

There was a man from India who went to a top hospital for brain surgery.

“I wish to have half my brain taken out so that I can be like an Irishman” he said to the dumbfounded doctprs.

“But that’s crazy”, said the top surgeon. “Irish people are from a very artistic culture, boasting a James Joyce; and fighters for riights like Jim Larkin and James Connolly. You yourself come from an absolutely amazing culture, a culture that can boast a sensual art form, a Tagore and a Gandhi”

“Ah” said the Indian, “but I am very polite and I am a guest here. When an Englishman told me that I was just a stupid brownman, and that I should get half my brain taken out so that I can be like an Irishman, I thought I had best follow his opinion. He seemed to be very violent”.

Reluctantly the surgeon carried out the operation, but

something went terribly wrong!!

“Mr Singh, there’s been a dreadful accident! We made an awful msitake and took your whole brain out”

Mr Singh sat bolt upright, with an idotic smile, and said in a perfect English accent, “that’s perfectly all right, my old chaps. There was an Englishman, an Irishman and a Welshman…”
