I’m feeling a lot lighter re the EU.

A satisfactory solution is emerging, though some economic pain lies ahead because of the vote.

Brexiteers were telling us how well-off Norway was, so we seem to be heading towards a Norway-type solution. Still in Europe, member of the Single market, free movement of labour.

The people have spoken, but we voted to end membership of the EU, not for poverty, or having Merry as the UK’s chief economic adviser.

Nobody voted last week to actually stop immigration.

We won’t be as well-off as are now, but a lot better off than turning our back on Europe.

So we end up the same as before, but without any influence within the EU.

    Correct?

    #995776

    Correct.

A better solution is emerging in a fast-moving situation. We don’t sign Article 50 until it suits us. That gives us time to work out the alternative trade policy which the Leave bozos forgot to offer. Once we’re a bit more aware of where our boat is heading, then press the button.

The alternative is economic chaos and a much poorer country, though you’ll be all right, Martin, and the rest of us can fly the Union Jack over the sinking boat as it goes down – Kind Hearts and Coronets had a nice scene of that.

*Norway was held up by Leave (aka Project Lie) as a shining model of a country which was no longer in the EU! And it’s a hell of a lot better than the trade area with Albania and Ukraine asked for by Michael Gove.

Truth be told I’m sick to the back teeth hearing about it get out or stay in just ffs do one or the other I also don’t care who will be new leader either they’re all self serving lying twats It’s tedious now even princess Di didn’t get this much coverage

Princess Di was a big weepfest.

The political games are tedious. Even Labour threatening to destroy itself is in the seediest way imaginable.

The country does give the impression at the moment of having a bit of a nervous breakdown, though. When we need a lot of things worked out, things which are crucial to our wellbeing, we have to watch several months of game-playing, followed by a possible general election?

You think it’s tedious now? They’ve only just started.

So now we could end up with a remain Conservative as Prime Minister again …hmmmmm

Cameron was happy offering a referendum because he was certain the vote would go his way, when it didn’t he proved himself to be a typical tory, a spineless lying foooka with low moral standards and jumped ship, their next leader be no better.

Supposed to be a democracy and they are going to use every underhand trick in the book to not implement article50, it should have been called article69 coz the majority are once again getting royally foooked over off another tory government.

In my eyes they are playing right into the hands of UKIP, more “madness” at the polls might follow in the next general election and we might end up with Nigel Farage PM, doesn’t seem like a bad option for me now.
