OOOh horror Laine……Horror is always about being scared of some thing…like The Rats….or IT or The Shining etc…….

I think Night Mare on Elm St really put the idea across that what you read may haunt you in your dreams…

I was born into a social class that was not taught the value of reading.

My parents tried to counter this.

Books – both fiction and nonfiction – helped me escape into an interesting world with interesting people.

I think we read all sorts of books, high-brow to low-brow.

I’ve always, always, tried to reach the limits of my understanding, so my books are usually (not always) pretty demanding.

Read fr enjoyment, but read for fulfillment too.

    Here endeth

I love Les Miserables. Seems I read 1000 or more page books before. This one has me put it down often. Very intense reading but good.

Love Sir Arthur Conan Doyle books. Sherlock homes..

Love Dumas books. Iron mask… Count of Monte Cristo….

Umm, I read at the moment think tend to go for moods I am in.

Lol college books killed me with all my studies. Could not wait till I got out to read something else. Like scep said, kind of points out..shutting out the world, rat race and be in someone writing world. Imagination….

People who laugh at books and reading really should wonder how they read the text on their kindle or computer screen…i mean…..it’s sort of biting the hand that feeds in a way……

Always intrigued by the Man in the iron mask linda……based on real events……now if you cover up some ones face with an iron mask….there’s only one reason in my opinion……he (or she LOL) looks too much like some one else…..

I can under stand why the most significant theory (and i stress theory) is that it was a relative of the royal family…..twin brother…etc….

But the main clue to unravelling this mystery is not necessarily who masked the man (who he was)but who gave the orders to do it…..

There my friends lies the answer…..

I love Books😍 I realy started reading at about 11.The first book i ever read was Maddy by Pamala brown. Then moved on to Enide blighton.Omg it was amazing, because you use your imagination with books.A film is very rairly as good as the book.People ask me,if you read so much, why are you so bad at spelling.Truth is i dont know.As many in here have sujested, maybe im just thick.I have no idea why my brain cant do the spelling. All that dosent matter though because reading has been my sanctuary for a lot of years. The place where i go to relax.I feel sorry for people who are not into reading, because there missing out.

Sounds like you have a stronger pictorial imagination, Jamie..you said once that you loved dance.

My pictorial imagination is limited, though I can (usually) spell.

Think maybe I envy your your pictorial imagination if you have it.
