Otherwise, you seem to have misunderstood everything I’ve written on this thread, my dear. I re-edited the original post to show that I was using ‘highly regarded’ with tongue in cheek, but since when did such prosaic points matter in the scabrous little world of nasty tales?
Still, since when did intention matter? No doubt we’ll have a story elaborating on all this from our graduate in Creative Writing.
Are you going to write a nasty tale about Moi and Gucci? Cosy can’t do it himself, but he’s waiting on you to carry out his gripes for him.

LD, you may well be correct, the fact he seems to think everyone is interested in his flowery opinions is, in my opinion, arrogant. He is so wrapped up in his narcissistic binge, he hasn’t a clue to your interest level. He is convinced that you are enraptured by his monologue, an oral deluge about which you have long lost interest.

I used to admire a guy I sort of knew called Ronnie Dworkin, who was always oracular in his pronouncements, always offering provocative comments to rile people so that he could complete his argument..Some arguments are dialectical – they can’t be straight-forward.
But ol’ Dworkin could also tell a good story, though he’d never been to a Creative Writing class to learn how to write in a predictablele style.
He once held a large number of grown adults spellbound with a story about the boy who did the perfect swallow-dive without anyone being present to applaud, a dive he could never repeat in public. It was a great story, and made a good point.
Dead now, our Ronnie, a genuine loss.
