It really ain’t on.
I logged in to 50s tonight for some quiet decent chat. Then the room was suddenly invaded by this army of geriatrics with their colostomies, twinsets, surgicals and varicosies.
Dominating everything with their “Is Winston still on the throne nonsense” and intimidating our usual respectable crowd. What is admin doing about it ? Where were the guides – on five hour tea breaks again ?I pay my rates for something better than this……when I come in for some civilised conversation in the genteel pastures of the world-renowned 50s room after a hard days work that’s exactly what I am expecting, not a load of world war one suffrygetties going on about their pop-up socks with hairs sprouting out.
It’s enough to put you off your hippity-hoppy records and some of us youngsters aren’t too pleased, I can tell you.
I demand a refund
I take it you’ve met the 40’s regs…
20 March, 2008 at 8:18 am #318690I will accept green shield stamps.
There’s a particular tank top down at my local Co-Op that I’ve had me eye on.

20 March, 2008 at 10:41 am #318692I was made to stick ’em in the books and there were loads. Still have nightmares. There were some social workers in those days but they were called Aunty Bertha down the street and she always had a rolling pin handy if you stepped out of line.
But whats that got to do with the JerryHatTrick invasion ? It simply can’t go like this and I think we should employ feral gangs of hoodies to work door in 50s, and quite possibly lounge too.
We like our chats about frayed and dog-eared library tickets and these idyllic conversations should not be allowed to just fall by the wayside like so much else.
I’m not sure what it is I’m demanding because I just forgot who I am but, whatever it is, I sure do demand it. And now.

she scores goals, makes me laff, has them eyes you can get lost in, gets right to the heart of things, is liked by all and wears two straws up her nostrils in a strange accent.
