Ryde takes me back to the 1970’s..
Packed on to the ferries for the short crossing from Portsmouth and stepping off the boat at ryde pier head was like being abroad,except for the weather. Then on to those little ex 1930’s tube trains down to the esplanade.

thing is trapper, the whole island is caught in a time warp, part of the overall charm
