    going to the gym, it nearly killed me tonight

    Way to go Matty :D you got a work out ?

    I workout twice a week at my local Gym (Not Body Building) and with a training partner (Barry) who has a vast knowledge of how your body works and exercises to achieve different goals, my workout changes every five weeks so to not get stale/board doing the same thing (and it works) so at present i have seven different workouts, i keep them on my PC and when its time to change i up load the routeen to my Mobile (notes) and i can look at or alter my work out on my Phone at the gym also add suggestions from Barry, so thats how my PC helps me in the Gym (because there is no way anyone could remember all the routeens and the weights used for each exercise, i find this system easy and accurate.
    My present workout

    Running Machine 8 minutes fast jog (to warm up, tones legs)
    Full Squat 3 sets of 10 reps (good for thighs, all over toning and cardiovascular)
    Bench Press 3 sets of 8 reps (good for the bust, all over toning)
    Peck Deck 3 sets of 8 reps (bust and upper back)
    Rowing Machine 3 sets of 8 reps (for arms, tummy and back)
    Bench Dips 3 sets of 8 reps (arms and shoulders)
    Seated heels Raise 3 sets of 8 reps (for calves)
    Kneeling Backward Raise 3 sets of 10 reps each leg Leg (keeps your bottom round and firm)
    Running Machine 8 minutes fast jog (to Finnish, tones legs)

    This takes about 75 – 80 minutes and i change exercises on the fifth week (say change Rowing for Lat Bar Pull Down) so as not to be doing the same thing week after week.

    I enjoy the Gym its good fun and its good for my health its not Body Building but i am very fit (don’t drink much and i don’t smoke) at 5`1″ and a bit, 36″bust i can ware size 10/uk jeans just ( nice and tight) so its worth it !

    i use a simle methon..

    25 mins on the bike… 10 mins on the weight machine.. then 5 mins on the rowing machine, a little break.. then 30 min in the weight room, though i did’nt do the weights today, as i was knackered…

    really kills getting back into it don’t it :lol:

    that’s the main reason i don’t take a day off gym even if i’m sick, i hate the thought of not being able to get back into it.

    i think 3 days a week is plenty… of the gym i mean

    just getting motivated to do it, i forgot how good it feels after a work out

    i personally find that to maintain a weight 3times a week is sufficient but to keep up weightloss i have to go at least 5days a week :?

    anyways…well done getting back into it matty :)

    its also about what you eat too.. i can lose weight by 3 50 min sessions a week, and a swim twice a week too..

    its easy to lose when you have put it all back on

    I walk past the local gym everyday :) i always stop and look and then head to nearest cafe for a bacon butty and to think about joining :) I could also get into a size 10 UK jeans except my bum wont fit into them. :wink:
