I think what I dislike about making it a regular thing is it smacks to much of a chat-programme. Fair enough, we have regular quiz nights in the quiz room, and I participate sometimes, but at least I know that the quiz room is specifically for that purpose. The 40s room attracts a lot of passing chatters and though some new visitors might find the theme night interesting and enjoyable, I think that most would not. If I was new, and entering a room or site for the first time, and finding myself in any kind of theme room or chat theme, I think I’d find it a bit difficult to join in the same way I would in the 40s room on a normal night. I may be wrong, I don’t know, it’s only an opinion.
As for no arguments during the time the theme went on, I don’t necessarily agree that’s a good thing, it really depends on what the argument is, and who is arguing. Some of us enjoy an argument.
I have an aversion to being treated as though I’m part of an organised group, like being on a package tour bus trip, with a pre-arranged entertainment programme or events programme lined up for me, so as far as I’m concerned,
stick yer theme night up yer a r s e s.

Tiggy, here’s what it had to do with you.
You quoted dolflip, and used emticons which indicated you were in agreement with them, my reply was equally as much to them as you, but more so them, however, I addressed you by name ( and not them ) as yours was the last post. Rather than me quoting them, which would have meant a repeat quote soon after the original post, making it effectively 3 times that post was made, I preferred to simply address it to you. See? It’s quite simple, in a complicated kinda way.
