My patience was put to the test today.
I thought I’d put £10 worth of diesel into the tank only to find it was actually £10.01.
The man at the kiosk made me break into another £10 note to pay the 1p. :evil:He gave me £9.99 in loose change. :roll: How can you explain to these foreign jobsworths that 1p is worth fook all these days and that he should’ve let me off with just paying the £10. [-o< At least I didn’t put my hands around his neck.

my local shopkeeper lets me off wif loose change all the time. (prob cos i d/load music fa him tho) 8)

You make a godawful fuss as the queue of frustrated shoppers lengthens behind you. Eventually someone will have the good grace to chuck a whole penny on the counter. They will do this because they have a life to get on with, and can probably write it off against tax somehow.
You then depart with that special smirk on your face, while clutching your unsoiled tenner and muttering “Suckers !!” under your breath.
At an Esso garage they have loose change beside the till. Just a couple of 1/2p’s worth.
Not that i like to do that sort of thing but i’ve noticed it.

I can see the point you make, but if you used £10.01 in petrol that is what you should pay. What’s next? Asking them to let you off with 50p, 70p etc… as this would create alot of change from £10.00 as well.
Agreed… anyone with a diesel deserves it.

what if every customer did the same, his till would have to balance at the end of his shift why should he pay for your fuel
