It was hardly a bloodbath just a few handbags at dawn with a few plastic tables and chairs thrown in
People get drunk it happens shouldn’t let it detract from the main event though

Absolutely right !!! It was nothing more than the normal scene on a Friday or Saturday night in most town centres when the pubs shut.

So the Germans don’t like it when English fans wave blow up Spitfires around and remind them of one or two interesting facts in history – Oh dear! Well they’re not famous for their national sense of humour are they???

A typical night in any UK town centre.

    England 1- Germany 0

How many England fans do they say are over there? 70,000? 100 get arrested – thats 0.001%.

Er… whilst I don’t want to get done for ”Hassling the Hoff” but 100 in 70,000 is actually 0.14%.

Oh and they’re all nosepickers

Memories of school maths – always forgetting to multiply the result by a hundred

I still say that if you go abroad you should behave yourself and not needlessly offend your hosts. Some people don’t think they have to do that and they behave in the same loutish manner as they do at home. For the minority who behave like that they should have their passports taken away from them for 10 years or so to prevent them embarrassing the country again.

STUTTGART (Reuters) – Aggressive and intimidating behaviour would not be tolerated, a German police chief said on Sunday, after more than 520 England fans were held in the two days before the World Cup match against Ecuador.

Assuming the “4000 total arrests” figure is correct, I figure that AT LEAST 13% of all those arrested are English (at least, cos these 520 are just those from this weekend). And this is when they are WINNING games remember…. we all know how they react to a defeat. To be fair, most arrests have been for drunkenness and intimidation rather than acts of violence and many of the real troublemakers have been kept at home.

Anyway, for a direct comparison between the fans of Scotland and England (and a few funnies) click here:
