To present a supposition which states that “its only racist if NO other white english person would react in the same way” is simply beyond the boundaries of barking

It is an irrelevance what ANY other individual would have done- the child hurls an object (fruit I think) and states “go back to where you came from” to a Slovakian. It is nonsensical to suggest unless theres not one single white english person who wouldnt have beaten him, its not a rascist remark.

Just because I’d have beaten him too doesnt mean it’s not rascist- white english people can also be offended by remarks made about others- you dont have to be a minority to be offended by racism!

I didnt say the “remark” wasnt racist (although strictly speaking it isnt as slovakians are of the same race, and “go home” isnt a racist comment unless directed at someone of a DIFFERENT race)

I said the incident wasnt linked to immigration, but immigration was the main gist of the padding, which was ONLY because the woman was slovakian, its THAT which is racist as it doesnt even say the woman IS an immigrant

All of which was clearly stated with no mention to what was said

But would a thread and the article about it in the other scenario do you reckon have not been about what was said, not been about the beating but instead wittered on about why prostitution was the solitary reason for british society crumbling and why prostitutes should all be “sent back” so that more beatings of cheeky little b’stards wouldnt happen claiming the beating was because of prostitutes?

Because inference for inference that would be the gist of that thread IF that had been the reason the woman had hit the kid

Course not, the article and thread would more probably have been centred around the beating, the kid being cheeky and the wrongness of both things

This one however mostly avoids both of those things, almost having the undertone that the kid did nothing wrong and focusing almost totally on the topic of immigration which doesnt specifically relate to this incident at all as far as can be known as it doesnt even say the woman IS an immigrant does it

If the childs insult was a bigot byproduct of a slutty single mums bigotry then it would be about piss poor single parenting

But it still remains that what has happened here is the child insulted someone who reacted to that insult

It could have been another person and a different insult with the same reaction

The fact the woman is or might be an immigrant, the current crappy state of our immigration proceedures and most of the other nonsense soapboxed on the coat tails of this story isnt relevant to the crime or the circumstances of it

Assault on or by someone isnt less or more simply because of their nationality and niether is the significance of the boys nationality as to whether he should be insulting people and throwing things

Unless of course youre going to claim that its ok for white british kids to insult anyone non british and that its worse if a non british person beats the crap out of a gobby kid than if a white person did it

If youre NOT going to try and claim either of those things then the nationality becomes irrelevant and only the actual occurence is important irrespective of nationality as the actual occurences are important whereas the state of immigration policy on a national level or even a community one ISNT relevant to this individual incident which is the point I have been making

As national and community immigration makes up probably 90% of the article with the incident itself making up a rather measly amount of it

as much as im against the iron bar approach i do think that if a kid is being gobby due to bad parenting then they deserve a slap across the back of the head!
