I didn’t bother to read the link above but my reply to the thread’s title is that all drivers are one conviction away from a ban. If the driving offence is serious – e.g. drink driving, dangerous driving or gross speeding, the driver will probably get a ban straight off, even for a first offence.

Thats a very good point B55. I suppose the link explains one million small offences…which is what the headline was referring to, had you taken part, you’d know

my brother in law is one of those unfortunate folk he drives a hgv for a living. he wont be able to make a living shortly. all of his points are for speeding. he works nights and mostly the motorways are clear but the boys in blue are out in force with their SAFETY cameras. where are the children playing on the motorway at 2 in the morning ??? its all b ollo x its about collecting revenue and getting ppl off the roads and nothing to do with safety. the twoc merchants and drugged up boy racers who drive without a license or insurance never get caught unless they actually crash or are caught by chance so its the working man that pays yet again.

well what is the count for people whom have a clean driving license…???

my license clean and has been clean for 11 years  ive only ever been stopped once for speeding whilest heading for a police station for interview for pub license lol 38 in 30 zone… Im not a perfect driver but since ive had kids I do drive with extra care …

Unless by some miracle they desist from breaking the law as it relates to spped limits. Then they can continue to drive and pay nothing in fines eh?
