23 March, 2008 at 8:37 pm #320246defintly in the top 3 this year, the true legend of a great player is somone who can do it over his playing career, only time will tell
I did’nt think he had a great game today, but he still scored, Rooney was the class act, he is more of an importent player to the team, the stats prove this too, failed to win just 2 game this season, where rooney has been playing
23 March, 2008 at 8:40 pm #320247Great dive he did today, really stuck his neck out
23 March, 2008 at 8:52 pm #320248he is a cantona figure, he wants opps fans to hate him, hense his celebration of standing there, suggesting he is the best thing ever
25 March, 2008 at 5:21 pm #320249I never saw Cantona throw himself on the floor everytime he failed to get past a defender.. .. Good players don’t need to do that..
25 March, 2008 at 8:02 pm #320250and good defenders don’t need to knock great players down to get the ball
26 March, 2008 at 9:55 am #320251best player in the world this year but to say ever i would say we will have to wait and see how well he stands the test of time.

Your reasoning escapes me… Ronaldo would be a better player if he didn’t resort to throwing himself on the floor everytime a defender, Good or Bad, took the ball off him.

Ronaldo is quick, with unbelievable quick feet. He will go down a lot more than your average player, and players will bring him down a lot more than your average player. Now add them 2 up, and you’ll see what I mean. Yes, he goes down quite easy at times, but don’t push that all on him, because Gerrard, Torres, and most from all teams go down when a lot of the time, they shouldn’t. Fans only hate him, because they are jealous. I bet you wouldn’t have said no to him on your team, before he joined United, eh? And I bet you wouldn’t be saying half the stuff you say if he was playing for your team right now.
I am not saying that he doesn’t go down easily…But at the end of the day, all of the players from every country on a professional level go down too easily!
