It’s amazing what you can trawl and find out around various archives,
I was having a look and found the following document from HM Embassy Moscow dated 6th April 1943, It’s worded very cleverly but possibly not so ”in keeping” for our modern day terminology…..

I’m not sure if this is real or a fake – but I first saw it around 9-10 years ago when it was supposedly relaeased from the Public Records Office at Kew.
That said, I simply love the carefully grammatical use of the English language.
