I am at the moment watching a programme on channel 5 called hope for Hayley……… she has something called progeria which ages children prematurely………you know what? this young lady who is only 9 years old puts us all to shame with her outlook on life, life expectancy of children with progeria is 13 …what a fantastic kid she is , if you get a chance catch the end of it, its on till 10pm ……

oooh cath you read my mind I was going to post something in serious topics about this as I have been following her lovely but sad story since she first hit our screens what was it… 6 years ago?

Im astounded that the family in Belgium only had their child diagnosed correctly after watching her program, so it proves her parents were absolutly right to publicise this cruel and little known about disease.

What a lovely little girl, Im so glad someone else here watched it…

(Ive just wiped the last of the tears  )

you know what sharon the whole family were remarkable dont you think, her mum and dad were just so ‘grounded’ , they love her dearly as it should be , but their composure and the way they conducted the tv programme making sure it was about hayley and not them was jsut something else……. she is an absolute delight tho isnt she , hayley? a lesson to be learned for all of us i think xxxxx

She lives up to her name one in a million (or 8)

what a tragedy for the other family, having a second child after such re-assurance it would not happen again?

And what a nonsense that the medical research is cloaked in mystery… so they can protect what is obviously a very special drug/cure (and not just for this disease) indeed… that really got me thinking.
