We have a relatively good football team (top 40). Our Leicester Ladies are good too

We have quite possibly the best rugby team in England

We have a good cricket team

We have a good basketball team who are in play-off contention

We even have an “american football” team

And on sunday, the Lestonian sporting brilliance was upgraded with the hurricane emergence of Mark Selby’s 9-8 final Welsh Open win over London’s muslim Rocket Ronnie O’Sullivan, and after being 8-5 down too. This is Mark’s second major win in a row, after he recently won the Masters. He’s now ranked 4th in the world, and one of the top favourites to win the world chapionship’s in april, of which he came second last year.

Is there a major town or city that can compete with Leicester in sports?

Coming from someone who resides in the mountain’s of Sheepshire, i fully understand why you say that

Its beyond you, but i’ll ask again, what other major city or town can compete sportingly with Leicester?
