Why aint there no normal people in the audience?
I sit there (not every week) and shout out what I want to say and they pick some boring liberal fart to answer… oh its ok bla bla bla to every bloody answer!!
Where have all the normal people gone? Have they all joined JC cos there are plenty of opinions jostled around on here.
A couple of years ago it came to our local theatre (not JC on the road… now that provokes my imagination!) and the “application” form included you putting three questions you would ask, the show is a bloody set up!
After watching Spooks on Tuesday I dream of the day that what happenend in that episode happens over here… the least that would do is prove its live! grrrrrr

I agree Sharon, it is as you say, ‘set up’ and any difficult or awkward questions don’t make it.
What happened in Spooks!! I missed it this week?
30 November, 2007 at 1:46 pm #294092i went to questiontime a few years ago it was a great night. the questions are picked before filming and you have to write why you want to ask the question. but they are carefully vetted lest anyone be offended. it airs a hour after filming, so occasionally they do get someone shouting at them but its rare.
30 November, 2007 at 2:09 pm #294093Whats more amazing is that anyone alive even suspected it wasnt controlled, vetted and less than “real” to begin with
Even the guests run through a brief outline of what the discussion will be before the show and have the option to remove or ammend, research or rehearse before the “real time” discussion begins
Its TV for gods sake, get a grip on reality lol
(PS, eastenders isnt real either  )

Spooks was “Question Time” hijacked by terrorists! But in Spooks fashion it was done really well. Try and catch the repeat, its well worth it.
1 December, 2007 at 12:23 pm #294095uber you crack me up
3 December, 2007 at 10:11 am #294096The questioners often seem to be hardliners – like you say, leftie liberals but also Little Englander Colonel Blimp ultra-tories too. TV likes ratings and conflict and controversy = ratings!

Totally agree. They are told before the show starts that they need to keep hush to allow the show to run smoothly, thus people are afraid to rant respectively.
The great thing about last thursday’s show was Mr Dimblebee FINALLY acknowloging the NEED to ALLOW Mr Nick Griffin leader of the Common Sense party.
I found it PARticuly interesting him asking the nomarks beside him if they’d come on if Nick was on, they struggled to answer it, wanting desperately to say no, but realised that this might now happen, and said well yes, cos they know if they said no, that would stand.
SO
QT
Lets have Nick on, let the opposition speak, let Nick speak and expose them, then the great british public can see for themselves what a bunch of hypocritical lazy two faced spin doctoring liars the old gang are.
COME ON GENERAL PUBLIC
SPEAK UP, THIS IS YOUR CHANCE

ya see up here we still touch then for good luck !
i get scared by waspihs account ..
7 December, 2007 at 11:52 am #294099i reckon if gordon brown david cameron and any from the libs now mingers gone. and nick griffin were given air time to debate it would be a damned good programme. if we could all vote on every question, a la x factor. then add the peoples opinion to the polititions answers, we,d get a decent cross section of votes and a clearer picture of where the nation stands. what questions would you ask and why ?
