HM Revenue and Customs has confirmed that a further six data discs have gone missing in transit between its offices in Preston and London. The discs, which were reported missing on 30 October, contained recorded conversations between a member of staff and a customer making a complaint.
Police are still searching for two computer discs containing the details of 25m Child Benefit claimants.

I loved the ebay story the day after all this nonsense. Some guy put a disc on ebay with 7500 peoples identities on it. Bidding went to £999,999, before he took it off claiming to have “lost it” 8)

i think the majority of people have a better mind than to bother with all that personally
sounds like mob mentality and benefit recievers wanting some extra money without working for it again
29 November, 2007 at 3:17 pm #293746child benefit isnt a social security benefit.I was told it was set up after the war to make sure every child in the nation always had enough money for shoes.. or so an old soldier told me when i was nursing. even the queen and co got it.. nowadays tho theres more chil benefit going abroad than is claimed in england. not bad eh, shoes for all of europe…
29 November, 2007 at 9:02 pm #293747shoes eh…. Bet there arent many kids who actually benefit from child benefit these days, their single mothers are far too busy blowing the lot on booze and fags
