These posts have been taken from the “Justchat site help” board.
Yes I know we don’t care, but I have put them on here for you lot to look at too.
God knows why the site is not helping them.

Any idea why and if it aint the java what it is It freezes its slow and keeps slowing down when im typing
Yes I do know why.
It’s not the computer or the java; it’s your broadband provider.
Your line speed has slow down for some reason.
Before it was running at about 2mb, but this seems to have dropped to below 500kb.
Do a line test and post the reply.
It should look like this.
Use this to test your boardband line.

If your line is ok, will have another look at the problem.

I would also like to add that a common problem people are having when trying to access the new forums can be down to their security settings.
If you are having issues, try the following steps:
First, verify that you are using the latest Java version at:
http://java.com/en/download/installed.jsp
Second, visit the chat room using an alternate web browser such as Firefox or Netscape. If you are able to load the chat room in an alternate web browser without issue, then the issue is likely caused by an Internet Explorer security setting. For information on working with Security Setting in Internet Explorer 7, which is the same as in Internet Explorer 6, please visit:
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/ie6/using/howto/security/settings.mspx
Setting Up Security Zones:
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/ie6/using/howto/security/setup.mspx
Also, you may not have specified which browser installation on your computer should use the latest Java version that you installed. To check, click the computer’s Start button, and open Settings -> Control Panel. Double-click “Java” to open the Java Control Panel. In the Advanced tab, expand the “Default Java for browsers” option, and make sure that each check box is checked.
Also, pull down your web browser’s Tools file menu, and select “Internet Options”. In the Advanced tab, scroll down to the “Java (Sun)” option, and make sure “Use JRE for ” is checked.

30 September, 2007 at 2:07 pm #289137I have always used Sun Java and have never had a problem with JC. Until now. I get the same problem as sunny where my computer visably seems to be slowing down. If I am say in msn and room at same time and then I get a pc (3 windows open at once) JC then goes to a snails pace and almost freezes. It certainly never used to.
I have just done the Java download test and I have got the lateset edition (it updates automatically). Seems like the prob is with the new JC format.
30 September, 2007 at 2:34 pm #289138How much ram do you have sunny?
Start-Conrol Panel-system.
30 September, 2007 at 2:39 pm #289139If you are running less that 512 gb of ram with the new program, your computers will slow down.
I can only say that this new version of java is for the new windows vista.
There seems to be a problem with some of the grafic cards too.30 September, 2007 at 3:08 pm #289140@dead_on_arrvial wrote:
