i have met with both o them,,and daily i get calls from lahore.my sin ?? daughter got terrible new born pics of my grandson and put my name in wrong…so i get ” helooooo Meesis Lesley *forename * eets Amanda/dave,,,all said in a lahore indian accent,,they MUST tell them it sounds better…! to have european names “!

its always when im busy too..and i TRY to be calm..as ” dave” sells me the kitchen ! that costs more than a Lahore residents yearly wage ..er, AND mine ! some folks tell me to put them out misery by admitting bankrupsy..i let ” dave” finish then admit im as untouchable as him,,he wishes me good luck,then hangs up !

Amanda…is much more pushy as she is selling phones..”helooo Meesis lessley I am Amanda” and she tells me im a right sucker for not having a contract phone..even though i explain to erm “mandy ” I only use mine to tell kids im in pub/bus/half way…

i sit here and tell them that tele sales sucks ! i Once sold showers in Glenrothes and Kirkaldy..when they had coal ! and the miners were en vogue ! and ” mandy agrees”! and Half o me wants to reach out and cuddle her ! and my “other” half wants to screeeeeeeeam,. LEAVE me alone !

and the pictures we got…second rate ! in a world o digi cams and phone bluetooths they are poor..

don’t we all just love these helpful customer service reps? where would we all be without them keeping us on our toes? life would be just too simple and uncomplicated without them.

Melech, I think these people are paid to be awkward. Slightly different set of circumstances, but here’s my experience:

I phoned one of these Sky TV auction channels to place a bid, which was accepted. Half an hour, they phoned me back.

‘Can I have your name?’ he asked. Now, I don’t wish to sound bigoted, but personally I’d rather speak to somebody I can understand and who can understand me. Hope I’m not alone in this.

‘I actually intended to input my account number and must have pressed the wrong number. Can I just give you that number? Only it’s getting late and it’d be quicker and more convenient for me’ I replied.

‘Can I have your name?’
‘I have an account number I can give you’
‘Can I have your name?’ and so it went on.

Eventually, he relented and accepted my account number and all was well. Until, and again I don’t wish to sound bigoted, he closed the conversation with super speed indian accent talking which I didn’t understand and got the impression that I never would no matter how many times I asked him to repeat. All I know is that he asked me to confirm something so after a quick ‘Yeah, that’s fine’ I was off to bed!

Now I just do it all online!
