Was an awful wait to find out if my dad was ok. Thankfully he is and all is well here.
My thoughts are with those families whose loved ones have perished and also with the hundreds injured. :(

hiya rainbow hun with all my heart im so glad yur dad was one of the lucky ones … im scottish and i remember lockerbie 1 hour away from me and the devastation i felt then is how im feeling now and yes guys this should never happened and i pray it will not again …. this has to stop …
As some of you know I live just to the West of London and we have seen the traffic go to pieces today as people either can’t go into London or are leaving it . Frantic phone calls around and thank God nobody I know has been involved or hurt.
I was working at Olympia on the day the IRA bombed it, killing several and maiming dozens. It is a most horrendous thing both to do and to experience. You ”feel’ the explosion as a sort of thud inside you and then the shockwave washes over and past you. If you are lucky the shrapnel effect doesn’t injure you. If you are unlucky………….. !!!
The vicious bástards that planned and executed this attack are not terrorists – for this gives their act some sort of awful meaning or purpose – they are cold blooded murderers and we should never forget this.
In the weeks to come there will be all sorts of moaning and hand wringing and some misguided people will try to blame the police or the security service etc etc for this. Just remember how you feel right now about the murderers that killed 35+ innocent people without ANY warning, and injured hundreds more. Men women children – all are now dead for absolutely nothing !!!
These murderers are the ones to blame for this, nobody else, and sooner or later the long arm of the law will reach out and grab them by the throat and crush the fúcking life out of them !
