Sky News top story – Paris Hilton.
Is it just me or has the world really lost that sense of, what do you call it, ah – perspective?
3 unsexy people dieing isnt as sexy a news story as sexy paris hilton, thats what zombies wana see on thier tv screens.
The news is not the news. Theres a lot of make-up and fashion paraded on a news channel.
I could understand it a bit more if it was a hugely significant case (murder, child abuse etc. Which A-listers get away with anyway) with far reaching consequences but it’s as far removed from that as possible.
Sadly you’re right, folk would rather know what Paris Hilton or someone else famous for being famous is up to than hear about what used to be known as ‘real’ news. You know – trivial things like fatal accidents, soldiers being killed etc.
Its why the media go on about the beckhams, because the beckhams have made themselves look glamourised, sexy, nice to look at. The general public have stressfull lives, they wana see and hear something that looks good even if it aint good. Thats why it was nice to see AliG make them look stupid, you could see david winsing and wishing he wasn’t there, because the becks have nothing worthwhile to say.
Blairs mob picked up on this image thing 12 years ago, now the conservatives have follwed, doesn’t matter about policy, its image, image, image.
Mind numbing, spirit crushing brain dead nonsense = zombie nation.

ive just ben to the tt and it was a brilliant week, its a shame the rider and spectators were killed but its not unusual at all someone gets killed every year there its part of the circuit. were off to the north of england road races next at scarbrough end ov june and there will be casualties there. but if paris gets a new hair style or god forbid she breaks a nail she,ll be top news again. i like the fact she was sent packin back to jail by the judge and i cant help but wonder how much the sherrif who released her got paid…if it were you or me in the dock there would be no sendin you home your in the nick and thats it innit…
