What do you make of this notion about making it an offense for kids to drink at home? I understand it to a degree, for example age, but it didn’t do me any harm.
I had the occasional beer at home when I was a teenager and enjoyed it, but once I turned 18 the novelty, if you want to call it that, wore off and with it went the enjoyment aspect. That’s a choice I was able to make in my own time as oppose to being influenced by friends at school. That also meant that the first time I did get drunk and realized I didn’t like it, I knew that I could do without. I’m 25 now and don’t drink at all, I stopped having the occasional beer a couple of years ago when I nearly passed out on a concrete floor, sweating and shaking after only a couple. Again, as I knew that I could do without that’s exactly what happened.
Also, apologies if this has already been posted but I looked the first couple of pages and couldn’t find it.
5 May, 2007 at 9:47 pm #269160You got drunk and didnt like it? You non-drinkers make me sick.
Go grab a bottle of Whiskey and see how much fun it is.5 May, 2007 at 10:26 pm #269161Totally agreed BM.
If the novelty has worn off because he is now legally allowed to drink, then why doesn’t he get hammered on cocaine instead? That will always be illegal, so in his case, the novelty will never wear off.
5 May, 2007 at 10:35 pm #269162I think that you have misunderstood our new user. Here is a young man who has indulged in the fermented juices of the grape and the hop and voluntarily decided to abstain from the demon drink.
He now understands that drink is the refreshment of the Devil and he has renounced Satan and all his evil ways.
And you Devil’s spawn, seek to lead him from the paths of righteousness into the viper’s pit that is the Class A white powder. Shame on you, for ye shall be cast out into the darkness.
Hallelujah for He shall be saved.
5 May, 2007 at 10:43 pm #269163Why exactly do I make you sick? Because I make my own choices in life? Are you really that insecure to the point of feeling threatened and confused by people who do things differently do you? If you are, then there are people you can talk to. I hope it all works out for you in the end.
Anyway, that’s not what the post was about – that was just a mere fact that I added on to clarify my point. But I forgot, you obviously don’t like people making choices or having opinions.
5 May, 2007 at 10:45 pm #269164Have some of this Whiskey JohnBoy. It’s yummy yummy in my tummy. :D

Geeeeeez PB. Take it you are off to church in the morning then.
I like the fact he doesn’t drink the “refreshment of the devil”, it simply means there’s more lager for BM to swig, more Newcy Brown for Smiley to neck, and more Voddy for me to nail. 8)

Tut JohnBoy..if you’ve only posted once and already you’re letting ‘them’ get to you then you have ni chance :!: :!: Ridicule them back… in an insulting and homophobic way… or better still offer them sex… they’ll soon shut up … By the way welcome to JC hun hope you have fun and post many more threads that irritate :!:
5 May, 2007 at 11:46 pm #269167Thanks for the welcome, sweetasbaileez, but I think you misunderstood. I don’t talk like that to people who are getting to me, I talk like that to people who don’t have the intelligence level to realize that they aren’t. It’s not as if I haven’t heard it all before.
Anyway, people who says things like ‘It’s yummy yummy in my tummy’ don’t need to be ridiculed. They can manage that themselves. Oh, and I was last called ‘gayboy’ when I was 14 by my 14 year old mates, who also got called gayboy, so forgive me, BM, if I don’t lower myself to be drawn into petty namecalling. I like to think that some of us are a bit beyond that and can actually defend themselves in an argument by being grown up about it. Not that I’m implying (look it up in the dictionary) anything…
